IS GREEN TEA IS ALWAYS GOOD?

At present time, everyone is aware of green tea. Most of the health conscious people have switched on green tea. Green tea is one of the old herbal teas known to people. Green tea has been praised by people for its health benefits such as reducing cholesterol level, prevent heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s and boosting weight loss. We will see how it works:

  • Weight Loss: Green tea has polyphenol which increases the metabolism and burns body fat.
  • Heart Disease: Scientists think green tea works on the lining of blood vessels, protect against the formation of clots, which are the primary cause of heart disease.
  • Improve Health:  Green tea is full of polyphenols which works as a strong antioxidant. It can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting cells and molecules from damage.
  • Prevent Diabetes: Green tea helps regulate glucose levels and prevent diabetes.
  • Improve Brain Function: Green tea contains more than just caffeine. It also contains amino acid L-theanine. The combination of the two is particularly potent to improve the brain function.
  • Protect Against Cancer: Green tea is excellent source of antioxidents which protect against various type of cancers.
  • Protect against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s: Alzheimer’s is the most common neurodegenerative disorder in people. It is the cause of dementia. Parkinson’s is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder causes the death of dopamine producing neurons in the brain.
  • Improves Dental Health: Green tea contains catechins which inhibit the growth of bacteria and some viruses which improves our dental health and reduce bad breath.

There are many good effects of green tea in our life. But now question is: Is green tea good for all?

The answer is NO.

  • Excessive intake of green tea may harm our health. Like all teas, green tea also contains caffeine. Excessive intake of caffeine can harm our stomach.
  • Green tea may cause Iron deficiency on our body. If you are Anemic, you should not take excessive green tea.
  • Caffeine may cause of sleep disorder.
  • This may irregular heartbeat.
  • It may causes Diarrhea, vomiting.
  • It is a BIG NO FOR PREGNANT WOMEN.

So. Green tea is good for us but we should take it in moderate amounts and the it is safe.
