Ireland Beat West Indies in 1st T 20 game to series, 2014

Ireland was scheduled to play a 2 Match T 20 International Series in West Indies in 2014. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as both are ranked at 7 and 9. The 1st T 20 international match was to be played on Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies (Caribbean) on 19th Feb 2014. West Indies hold the upper hand as they are more experienced team and playing at home.

West Indies batted well and was able to post total of 116 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores of Chris G who batted very well and made 18 runs in 19 balls with 3 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 95 runs in 100 balls, M Samuels who batted very well  and made 16 runs in 17 balls with 1 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 94 runs in 100 balls, L Simmons who batted very well  made 16 runs in 24 balls with 2 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 67 runs in 100 balls faced, A Russel who batted very well  made 15 runs in 15 balls with 1 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls, Extras contributed 9 runs with 0 byes, 2 leg byes, 7 wide balls, and no one ever stepped.

Ireland won the match by 6 wickets in hand and now this 2 Match T 20 international series stands at 1-0 in favor of Ireland with 1 more T 20 game still to play. Ed J was adjudged man of the math for his great batting and fielding as well.
