India Thrashed England Cricket team in 2nd ODI

As England lost in the First One day international Match so they need to win this 2nd One day international match So that they can compete with the Indian team in the series. 2nd one day international was played on the Nahar Singh Stadium, Faridabad, India on the 31st March, 2006.

England won the toss and decided to bat first and So India will bowl first on fresh pitch which will surely help Indian pacers as well.

This is how the England team and 11 looks like: Andrew Flintoff (c), James Anderson, Paul Collingwood, Kabir Ali, Geraint Jones (wk), Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen, Liam Plunkett, Ian Blackwell,Owais Shah, Matt Prior

And Indian Team and 11 looks like: Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid (c), Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, MS Dhoni (wk), Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, S Sreesanth, Ramesh Powar

England batted very cautiously and made 60 runs in 50 over’s without any loss of wickets. But when they were looking comfortable they lost Mat. Prior at the Team score of 66 in 15.2 over’s. But England couldn’t make the Good start and lost their way and only Kevin pieterson makes the contribution of 71 runs in 87 balls with 4 4’s and 2 sixes. England ended the innings on 226 runs by the loss of 10 wickets in 49.5 over’s.

India started very well with the likes of Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag and With the major contribution of Suresh Raina who made 81 runs in 89 balls with 8 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 91 runs in 100 balls and completed the target in 49 over’s and won the game by 4 wickets and 6 balls to spare in the allotted 50 over’s of the game .

Suresh Raina was the Man of the Match for his brilliant batting and he was the one with whom India won the 2^nd One day International and go 2-0 up in the series with still 5 games to play.
