India in Lead Against Pakistan***Gem of a cricket Series***

India winning the 2nd One day International and levels the series 1-1 with 3 more games to play. This series was very fabulous as whole world was looking at this series as teams, Pakistan and India and fierce competitors and always play great cricket against each other. 3rd One day international was played on the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan on the 13^th Feb, 2006.

India won the toss this time and they put Pakistan into bat first.

Indian team and 11 looks like: Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid (c), Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, MS Dhoni (wk), Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, RP Singh, S Sreesanth

And Pakistan team and 11 looks like: Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam-ul-Haq (c), Kamran Akmal (wk),Abdul Razzaq, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif,Yasir Arafat, Umar Gul, Naved-ul-Hasan

Pakistan started poorly as they lost both their openers Shahid Afridi and Salman Butt inside 7 over’s with team total less than 40. But Pakistan then managed to bat well and with the contributions of  Shoaib Mailk who made 108 runs in 120 balls with 11 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 90 runs in 100 balls and Abdul Razzaq who made 64 runs In 56 balls with 7 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 114 runs in 100 balls, Pakistan posted total of 288 and India needs to get 289 runs in allotted 50 over’s to go 2-1 up in the series.

India started very badly by losing both Gautam gambhir and irfan pathan cheaply and soon Indian was 3 wickets down when Indian skipper Rahul dravid also lost his was and India was on 84 runs at the loss of 3 crucial wickets. But sachin who made 95 runs in 104 balls and Yuvraj singh who made unbeaten 79 runs in 87 balls and M S Dhoni who made the match winning 72 runs in 46 balls with 13 4’s at the strike rate of 156. India won the match by 5 wickets with 14 balls to spare.

MS Dhoni was the Man of the match for his efforts and India now leads the series 2-1 with 2 games tom play.
