India Beat Sri lanka in 4th T 20 match of series in 2009

India was scheduled to play a 7 Match T 20 International series in Sri Lanka in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 2 and 4. The 4th T 20 international match was to be played on Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla, Sri Lanka. India holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

India batted well and was able to post total of 190 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 5 wickets and with top scores of G Gambhir who made 80 runs in 40 balls with 6 4’s and 4 six at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls and S Raina who made 40 runs in 20 balls with 3 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls.

Sri Lanka was needed to score 191 runs in 20 over’s to win this match.

Sri Lanka batted well but was unable to chase the target of 191 runs and was only able to make 170 runs in 19.2 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 20 runs and with top contributions from M Jaya who made 50 runs in 50 balls with 5 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

India won the match by 20 runs and series stands at 4-0 in favor of India with 3 more games to play.
