Sri Lanka was scheduled to play a 4 match One day International series in India in 2008. 1st one day International matched was washed out due to rain.3^rd One Day International match was to be played on Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground, Rajkot, India on 13^th Feb, 2008.

India won the toss and opts to bat first and this means Sri Lanka will bowl first.

Sri Lanka was needed to score 291 runs in 50 over’s to win this game.

Sri lanka batted poorly and  lost its way in the end over’s and was bowled out for only 230 runs in 45 over’s and lost the game by 60 runs.

India won the match by 60 runs and M S Dhoni was the Man of the match for his great batting and wicket keeping as well.
