India was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in New Zealand in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 2 and 5. The 5th ONE DAY international match was to be played on AMI Stadium, Christchurch, New Zealand. India holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

India batted well and was able to post total of 392 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 4 wickets and with top scores of Sachin T who made 163 runs in 133 balls with 16 4’s and 5 six at the strike rate of 123 runs in 100 balls and Y Singh who made 87 runs in 60 balls with 10 4’s and 6 six at the strike rate of 145 runs in 100 balls.

New Zealand was needed to score 392 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

India batted well but was unable to chase the target of 392 runs and was only able to make 334 runs in 45.1 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 58 runs and with top contributions from Jesse R who made 105 runs in 80 balls with 12 4’s and 4 sixes at the strike rate of 125 runs in 100 balls.

India won the match by 58 runs and series stands at 5-0 in favor of India with 5 more games to play.
