India was scheduled to play a 7 Match T 20 International series in New Zealand in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 2 and 5. The 3rd T 20 international match was to be played on Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand. India holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

India batted well and was able to post total of 110 runs in 19.5 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and with top scores of Y Pathan who made 40 runs in 50 balls with 2 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 80 runs in 100 balls and P Kumar who made 30 runs in 15 balls with 3 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls.

New Zealand was needed to score 111 runs in 20 over’s to win this match.

New Zealand batted well but was unable to chase the target of 111 runs and was only able to make 102 runs in 19.5 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 8 runs and with top contributions from Grant E who made 30 runs in 30 balls with 3 4’s and 0 sixes at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

India won the match by 8 runs and series stands at 3-0 in favor of India with 4 more games to play.
