ICT has come a long way since the development of internet has conquered almost all aspects of human life. Information and Communication Technology has marked all fields; communication, science, arts, social life, spiritual life, juvenile life and most importantly, medicine and education.
Among the focus of ICT in the international K to 12 curriculum is to aid in the conduct of producing young eager minds to become individuals who are creative, communicative, critical thinker and innovator. A generation of 21st century individuals capable of making a great difference from the traditional citizen. The role of ICT carries a great value of the needed skills in upholding the future’s required skills from among the future makers of the world.
This means that being a product of the k to 12 is a great challenge and at the same time a privilege. It is a fact that the world is now living in the digital world. Every innovation almost links itself to ICT. A proof that we are already in the digital world are the babies born in during our era. Hand in a gadget to a baby with an age of two and he will find a way to figure out how to at least operate the basic functions of the gadget. On the contrary, give a gadget to a 65 years old man and he will have hard time to figure out how to use the gadget.
Whether we like it or not, we have to embrace the changes that are brought about by ICT into the present generation of learners and let this be a part of their foundation to travel to the more advanced world of tomorrow. Who knows, one of the pupils sitting at the corner of the simplest school in the country will be the first man to travel to the farthest edge of the galaxy? Or, maybe build the first mole cricket machine- a machine that can fly, borrow, swim, dive, and travel by land. Imagine a Filipino achieving such innovation.

This is the fact of live, we are living in this clicks of our fingers. ICT in K12 is favorable to the students. And its good the president is aiming to put the internet connection to schools. With the good guidance and putting to good direction, ICT could be the students gate to their better future.
