Actually I was reading a forum post yesterday by one of the members of another site. He has invited members to join a site flii.by (no ref-link) that has great features of sharing photos and images, sounds and audio, videos and movies, Flash games, cartoons, books and documents and certain other features.
I agree that being an amateur photographer I have no skills or I should accept the fact that I never had the time to fulfill my childhood desire of becoming a full time professional photographer but I must say I love photography so I never left a chance clicking at everything worth clicking even when there was no digital form of photography was available. Incidentally I prefer street photography as I believe that street photography is about capturing the real life shots and moment before they become history.
I love different exposure while shooting but long exposure photography is my favorite one using different zoom lenses. It become very popular in last couple of decades particularly for shooting wild life, landscape and travel related work. But it doesn’t mean that I am not interested in other kind of photography as I have been at it right from the still camera days when I used film roles and cameras were not as advanced as today.
I remember a site redgage.com where members were paid based on views they managed to bring on their different jobs like writing, links submitting, images, featured images etc and as one of my friends @BharatSharma will testify (He is one featured member on that site) and one of the most viewed as well but as per my information the site is no more active/paying for last couple of years.
Note- that site is back but I have lost interest in it.
The site I am mentioning here veethi.com is good for Indian members only as it allows images with Indian background and articles based on India and Indian lifestyle. I did a short stint of 3-4 months of photography assignments travelling to different cities and smaller towns and posted close to 4000 images. The site immediately compensated handsomely for my efforts in cash.
Note- This site is no more accepting photos if you wish to earn money but you can post for free for time being.
I have the same or almost same user name ‘suny’ on that site with 200 plus articles and close to 4000 photographs. So I was excited reading that member saying he was working on a good site where we can upload images and videos etc. The site is pretty similar to redgage that pays based on views which is one minus point in my views and nothing much in comparison to the site I posted my images and was paid instantly.
Incidentally, the site is not accepting images for time being. However anyone interested to watch the site or my photographs can visit veethi.com/photos and as I mentioned above my username is ‘suny’ there. I have a simple philosophy about photography –
“When there is nothing else to do go out and make the most of what you can do with your cameras”.
