I Know There’s A Turtle In There

Earlier this morning I was telling my wife that a turtle walked beneath the pipe under our neighbor’s driveway across the street She wanted to get photos of it, for she loves to take photos of just about anything. So, while she’s gathering up her cameras, I walked across the street and looked inside the drainage pipe where I seen the turtle enter. He or she, was a good size, and I didn’t think at first that it was even going to fit inside the pipe.

My wife gathers up 2 of her cameras, and she was having difficulties getting a photo inside the pipe, because the camera kept wanting to focus on the other end of the pipe where the light was. Just as she gets ready to take the photos, her camera tells her that her battery is dead. I believe the last time she used the camera was when we went on our cruise back in October. No wonder the battery was dead. So, she pulled out her 2 extra batteries, just to discover that those were both dead, as well.

So, she gathers up her 2nd camera, which luckily is her every day camera, so she keeps it charged, however, it doesn’t take the nicer photos as the one that had all of the dead batteries. She goes across the street and looks from a distance inside the pipe, and then says to me, “I can’t see anything.” At first I thought she was doubting me about a turtle being in the pipe at all.

She finally takes another few photos, and then comes inside to upload them to her computer, just to discover that she still can’t see a turtle. However, I can see a turtle in this one photo that she shot. Can you see it? If you look closely, you should be able to see it. He has his tail facing us.
