How We Will Look In our 20’s , 30’ 40’ 50 and Beyond ?

In this book Fat To Firm AT Any Age , these are what a woman will expect at her age level if she will just always do the age-preventive measure.

In Her 20’s ;

She should be doing a regular aerobic exercise and a muscle building routine. This would help her a lot in not losing muscle and gaining weight, despite being hands on her responsibilities at home and work. Putting on sunscreen and clothing that can prevent from getting too much sunlight and a hat will help her from getting wrinkles caused by the sun and other skin problems , will be of a big help in keeping her look and feel young.
In her 30’s ;

For those who have given birth already , unwanted fats may be caused by pregnancy. While other women who don’t do regular exercise may cause them to lose muscle and gain weight , her activities as a mother will help her in not having muscle loss but there will be some slightest drop in metabolism. Some facial expression lines may appear on the brow and along the curve of her cheeks. Since it may be inevitable for her to have some sun exposure, there will be some slight changes in her skin, like wrinkles or some white patches on her arms and legs. She must continue with her way of protecting herself from the sun so this can be at least minimized if not avoided. Since smoking can induce lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth and may have less elasticity in her skin, she must avoid smoking.

In her 40’s :
It will be noticed that her skin will now be drier. Fine lines will also start to appear. There may be some sun damage that will appear , brown spots on the back of her hands , small wrinkles on the face and dryness of the V skin of the neck and chest. Sunscreens and sun protection should be given utmost attention. It is recommended to use moisturizers and creams with alpha hydroxy acids that can help smoothen wrinkles and those skin pigmentation.
She should have an active lifestyle to avoid gaining weight , because it is at this age when menopause can be nearing. Metabolism will continue to slow down but she will still feel and look young and energetic.

In her 50’s and beyond :
At this age , her ovaries will be producing lesser estrogen and progesterone. If she continues being physically active and doing the muscle strengthening exercise along with aerobics or other forms of exercise she will have lesser muscle loss, lesser body fat and a thickening waistline. Her cheeks may now sag and age spots will already be appearing. Again sun protection will keep these all at bay.
But if she is into physical activities that can help strengthen the bones and muscles, she will look younger than her peers at this age.

In my case , being now in my late 50’s , age spots are already appearing. Wrinkles around the eyes are also very visible. But , I still continue with putting on moisturizers that can at least keep them at the minimum. I still do an over an hour exercise on weekends that includes muscle strengthening to at least minimize the sagging skin especially in the upper arms. On weekdays I have my full time job so I cannot exercise. But I see to it that I walk briskly in going to the jeepney stand to get a ride going to the office. It also helps that I take the stairs going up to the second floor where our office is.

I think one of the exercises that I do with dumbbells, helps me have a stronger back and a firmer butt. I am still at my normal body mass index , which is a big help in looking young and at least sexy as people would always say.

At least, I can say for myself that I really do look younger than my peers at this age as most who meets me, would say. 🙂

Though, I now can comfortably accept too that aging is a phase in our lives that everyone will go through. Let us just enjoy every phase as it rolls.

    • I am lucky as I seems have a good genes and never had any fat, even after pregnancy. I see how my friends workout hard to become slimmer. But I always had a habit to exercise and I eat only healthy food, very rare my dinner is not made at home from fresh products. I always eat much fresh vegetables.
      I think woman at any age looks beautiful and some wrinkles do not harm her beauty, but adds charm, as it shows her experience and wisdom. Need to less pay attention on outer beauty, but look into your inside, find peace with yourself, smile and enjoy life, then life will smile to you and in any age you will look beautiful as everyone will see how happy you is. Happy person is beautiful person.

        Very well said my friend. You are indeed lucky that you aren't like others who gave birth and became fat. I am just like you. I may have gained some poundage, but it was to my advantage because I really want to add weight.

        Your eating healthy and doing exercise are the primary reasons too why you are luckily slim even after giving birth. Those fruits and vegetables are fibers in our body, so they help in eliminating fats and wastes in the body in addition to exercise.

        But I agree that at my age, I should just be happy , smile a lot and just be beautiful inside. And that's what I am doing in addition to keeping myself healthy, by also exercising on weekends (it's the only time for me) , eating fruits and veggies, fish and meat at least 3x a week. In addition socializing with my officemates, friends and relatives. :)

    • That was what I am sorry for. I was so thin when not yet married, but after giving birth I gained weight so fast though I was so busy with an office job that time. Now I am overweight, trying to lose some weight. It's good we decided to go on strict diet and daily exercise of walking and biking every morning. Plus moving a lot while inside the house or walking inside malls (ha ha ha!).

        Same with you, when I got married I was slim and wants some poundage. I achieved that after giving birth. But over the years I gained weight too, mostly on the tummy area. That's my problem actually.

        Maybe just like you too, being on the office chair and computer is what made me gained more poundage that I don't want anymore. So, I just would eat a small apple at least 4 on weekdays.

        But of course. occasions is inevitable that there would be nice dinners. So, I compensate that by just eating an apple the next night.

        Well anyway, at least we are healthy , no sickness. That's what is so important now.

      You are lucky that you have inherited your mom's genes and that of our grandma's Chinese lineage, that is why you look younger than your actual age.

      You are also always smiling and that you have a positive outlook in life.

        Thank you for saying that. I think it's Ruben and Rose who also inherited that in your family.

        But you are correct, I smile and laugh a lot. Simple jokes can already make me laugh out loud already. I also have a positive attitude. I always think that if we are having a problem, we just have to do what we can to solve it. When it cannot be solved, give it to God and just hope it will soon be solved.

        Positivism is also helping me really to look and feel young.

        Though, you still look young for your age too, Ate Rubs. And so with Ate Ruth. I guess we in our clan have that gene.

          You just don't laugh, you laugh with your eyes and i think that is one of your asset.

          Any problems you have in life, it does not show. You carry yourself well!

    • you are good in that post that how women feel but we all have different bodies, and i saw many women that looks really much younger than her real age, i guess this people who smile alot and live the life as it is and take good note of their life experiences as that affect how you look, how you feel, thanks for bringing this issue to us before its late

        Our positive outlook in life, reflects in our face, thus we look & feel younger. Smiling a lot, laughing and joking are helping us to feel young too.

        As to stress, that is inevitable. It comes to each and everyone. We just have to have a good way of dealing with problems so we will not be stressed much.

        Do what we can do to solve a problem. But when you cannot you ask from people you are close with. In addition, ask for the help of God. He too, is always just waiting for us to call on him for help.

        Though, eating healthily and exercising are the primary things that really helps in us to look and feel young at our ages. :)
