In the past, there were Chicken Burgers and Beef Burgers.
As the food world changes over the years, a vast variety of burgers had bloomed from every corner of the world.
A traditional Chicken burger from McD could excite any little children with a FREE cold beverage.
Nowadays, the food market is trying to satisfy every customer’s request, ranging from chicken burger to exotic meats such as deer burger, rabbit burger, horse burger which I wouldn’t want my children to try any of them.
Rather than having the norm chicken burger, you could replace the burger patty with left-over meats such as turkey which has similar taste and flavor as the cousin; chicken.
If you have left over turkey from last night dinner, you could warm it up, add in some seasoning and salad veggies for a wholesome burger for your children.
Alternatively, you don’t have to buy a whole bird just to make burgers.
Look around for small trays , a few slices of fresh turkey meats on sale at the frozen department in the hypermarket.
I would strongly recommend you to try turkey burger because it has less fats, less calories and more protein compare to the regular chicken meats.
In addition it has the similar flavor of chicken that your children might not be able to figure out that burger was a turkey after all.
In my Turkey Burger recipe, you may noticed that I had included mushroom soup powder which regular beef or chicken patty recipes do not have it.
Mushroom soup powder helps to enhance the flavor of the turkey meat without adding any other seasoning such as salt, MSG or pepper.
If your children do not like onions, you can replace them with slices of cucumber, tomatoes or shreds of lettuce leaves.
My trick is to chop the onions into small pieces, add a little into the turkey patties that masked the onion odor!

I tried turkey burgers a long time ago and didn't quite like the gamey taste. Though I'd like to try roasted turkey someday, the kind that Americans serve during Thanksgiving.
