Did you know that your cells communicate with the help of light? Modern science, until recently, it also did not know. However, a new study opens up new doors to understanding the human body. Electric light has become the norm around a hundred years ago. Until then, most of the people lived according to the rhythm of the day and, of course, used the fire as a light. Candles and oil lamps light is bright orange. It is similar to the setting sun emitted light. White or blue light, in nature, is only in the morning and the day when we are most naturally active. And it was from the beginning of planet earth.
But today – blue and white light surrounds us everywhere and always. Such swimming in the artificial light knocks us out of the natural rhythm. Therefore, we sleep poorly, and without proper rest we cannot function really productive.
How to come back to the natural balance? Bluish light stops the production of sleep hormone melatonin and the lack of him don’t allow to sleep and to have quality rest while sleeping. If television helps you fall asleep, I will not argue. But I guarantee that this does not help you sleep quality.
Similarly we are influenced by fluorescent lamps and LED lights, which are not suitable light during the evening. Have you ever experienced the feeling at night when in the shopping center it is getting hard to remember why you came there? We needed milk and came out with a basket of discount products. Milk, by the way, was forgotten.
At home, the better choice is a halogen lamp, which emits more complete spectrum of light and is closer to the sun light. We so are used to artificial light that use it entire day. The artificial light in the shopping centers, the artificial light in the offices, even at home many people use artificial light all day long, some even sleep with light. I understand that it is hard to avoid such light, but we should use more sunlight as it is the most natural light.
