HOW OFTEN DO YOU DINE OUT?

Do you like to eat only home cooked food or prefer dining out? Well as far s I’m concerned me and my husband both of us like to eat out at least twice a week.

Whenever eating at home we prefer basic food but when stepping out we are a typical foodie and love to try out new varieties.

Though I’m a pure vegetarian and my husband is a non veg lover we both allow each other to their taste buds turn by turn.

Eating out is a kind of energy booster for us and we feel energized after doing so. It breaks the life’s monotony and allows us to spend some healthy time together without the intervention of any family member.
I simply look forward to these small outings.

Like everything eating out also has its pros and cons which vary from person to person. For me the pros overrule the cons but there are others for whom disadvantages of eating out are far more than the advantages.

Here are a few cons that I can figure out:
1). Break from regular cooking.
2). A good option to fill the stomach in case you are too tired to cook.
3). Saves cooking time, fuel and vegetables.
4). Gives a change of mood.
5). Energy booster.
6). Allows you to explore new places to eat out.
7). Allows you to taste and learn about new delicacies.
8). Gives a nice and uninterrupted family time.
9). Increases your flexibility in food you eat.
10). It can vary from a small treat to a big celebration.
11). Helps to build social skills and manners.
12). Allows to spend good time with friends as well.
13). Helps to increase communication skills.
14). Gives you a chance to dress well and flaunt yourself.
15). Allows the kids to learn to sit and eat.
16). Improves table manners.
17). Helps to keep us updated.

Well these are the main points that strike my mind at present. Any additions to it are most welcome.

But excess of anything is bad. The advantages remain beneficial only if there is a set boundary line that must be followed strictly.

The associated demerits are:

1). A hole in the pocket.
2). No control over food quality.
3). Compromised hygiene.
4). Limited portion of food.
5). Increased probability of stomach infections.
6). Managing children can be tough at times.

    • Actually eating is one way of bonding for couples. It not only makes them closer, specially if they have the same likes in foods.

Besides if there is only the two of you and both of you works, going home after office and cooking will be so tedious.

You better just buy foods and take it home, or just eat out.

Though indeed it could be expensive. And when there are kids, it's not good to eat out because they should be taught how to eat healthy foods cooked at home.

      • Yeah you are right, most of the times peolple dine outside so that they can have some quality time with their loved ones, and you mentioned well that they can also buy food from outside and then can have it in their homes as well

    • I am blessed to have a wife that enjoys cooking but at times, she gets tired. She is a true trooper, coming from work to cook. During some weekends, we would order out. Pizza, Chinese and Mexican are the order of the day. We try to do this, maybe, 2 times a month. We don't believe in spending too much in eating out but when we do,we make it special. Also, I have a good friend that owns a great Mexican restaurant that gives us 20% off. It might be a good ideas to look for discounts in the internet to save. You might be surprised at what you could find hidden in your restaurant's website. So, when eating out, keep it in moderation. Find the good deals and enjoy yourself!

      • That's a good way to manage, as i mentioned as well, eat outside or dine outside twice a month is good as it will save us a lot of money and helps providing rest to our loved ones. My mother cooks for me and she's very good at cooking, i most times ended up on not eating outside for many months and actually she also does not want us to eat outside as she all type of dishes at home.

    • yeah its good to eat outside but i think occasionally only as i did not like to eat outside much, i love to eat the home cooked food, prepared by my mother and its more tasty and delicious and its not good to eat outside and its too costly as well.
We should try to eat outside once a month or twice but not on daily basis

    • I try to eat out as much as I can because I need that space sometimes. To be alone helps me to think about a lot things that's going on in my life. It also helps me with solving solutions on something that's really bothering me. But sometimes it can just be the fact that I need some new people to be around instead of seeing the same people that I see everyday on a day to day bases. Sometimes I feel like I need it and that's what should happen in my life.....new change, new scenery, new environment, new atmosphere
