How did flea market get their name?
I was wondering about this how the flea market name started. So I did a search but all I got was answers of what a flea market
is I all ready know that since I do sell stuff
at flea markets. In other places They might call a flea market a swap and sold there are lot of different names. But I just want to know were the flea market name come from?Most all most every one goes to the flea markets some are very nice were they will have a band playing rock and roll or country music or both. The type of flea markets I rally enjoy. If I am selling I like be close to the music it make the day go faster
some people say I waste time writing for low money try to sell at a flea market and sell nothing. Not time made and a loss of money the booth can cost from $10.00 to $50.00 us a day .The best item to sell is food or if you have cpropertyl prpoerty try to host one that can bring good money in make sure you check your local and state laws what require to host a on going flea market. Now back to were did the name flea market come from? as we know flea markets do not sell fleas.LOl . So I have a strange sense of humor. I friende a freind who does host a flea market in the summer
I have to see if he going to do this summer if not maybe I can run it and make money out of it. Got to back my self up with some kind of income plan. beside a food cart , If I can find a way hosting a flea market can be a good idea. It is a lot of paper work. Most state and towns or cities require that all vendors must have a sale tax number.Yes some place make it hard for people to try to make money on there own permit for this and zone laws all so get in the way to. So if any one know how the word flea got in to the name of flea market let me know OK that it for now.

I thought you are going to tell us why it is called a flea market. But you are asking at the end, if we know why? ha ha ha
Actually, in my opinion, they might named it that way, because flea markets have those stalls which are mostly just improvised tables made of wood, her it is made of bamboo slits, where they can display their products.
I love flea markets because most of the products are of fresh produce and they sell the cheap.
So whenever I go to the flea market,I don't haggle anymore, because anyway, they are just mostly farmers sellng their products and I know they don;t profit much. It is just our help to them when we buy their products.

do have some farmers selling their food
In our hometown, during what they call "Market days" which is Wednesday and Sundays , though it has a regular market, but there are regular stalls, people from all walks of lives from the barrios and neighboring towns who has something to sell can participate.
It is actually free for all, wherein some would just put sacks on the side of the road and put their products for sale there. I like this because you really can buy a lot of different fruits and vegetables for just a few money. Also, there are those who sells second hand clothes.
