And most important the calm demeanour that made teammates play their natural game rather than be in pressure all the time. Team India one by one thrashed bigger teams and at the end won the World Cup T20 stunning the entire world and BCCI. Here was a man who was not even talked as prospective future captain went on to win the world cup with a second string team. His elevation to captaincy brought a dramatic transformation of indian team from a minnow to superpower in the Cricket. The transformation came a full circle in the ICC ODI 2011 world cup when India became the champions after 27 years of wait. And in that tournament too, he played a captain’s knock promoting himself ahead of man-in-the-form Yuvraj Singh.
