Healing Powers of Beetroot Juice

Beetroot is well kept for a long time, so fresh raw beet juice can be used for food all the year round. Leaves of beetroot contain almost the same set of nutrients, and root crops. They are also useful as it contains a lot of pectin, which protect the body from the damaging effects of radioactive elements and heavy metals. Pectins prevent them from developing in the gut of harmful micro organisms which are involved in removing cholesterol.

Beetroot juice is loaded with nitrogenous compounds, mainly proteins. A lot of other vegetables cannot measure up to beetroots by the existence of amino acids. From betaine (nitrogen compounds) in our body is formed choline. This substance has properties that prevent fatty liver. Greater role in nerve impulse is derived from the choline substance – acetylcholine. For liver and biliary tract, it is recommended to eat hundred grams of fresh raw beets on empty stomach daily.

The beet juice contains a lot of iron, so it is the most valuable and the best of all the vegetable juices to improve the blood and the formation of red blood cells. Beet juice is especially useful for women and it is recommended to drink it mixed with carrot juice in not less than three cups per day. During menstruation, it is better to drink a glass of beet juice two or three times a day.

Beet juice gives better effect in menopause than the synthetic drugs. Even a small amount of beet juice has a purifying effect on the body, so it’s very useful when you may feel nausea or dizziness. In the initial stage it is recommended to drink beet juice mixed with carrot juice (carrot prevails). Gradually you can change the proportion, and drink 1 to 1.5 cups of beet juice two times a day, which is enough for your body.

    • Beets are not included in my regular diet. I know I should eat them more and perhaps drink the juice. But when I go grocery shopping I never think to buy them. My mother-in-law loves beets. She enjoyed good health for a very long time.
