How To Grow Your Own Aloe Vera

I was a distributor for a Company that has the Multi Level Marketing system for their products that are  based on Aloe vera.  They have their own Aloe vera farms that run into thousands of acres.

Many go for ready made products as they think that growing aloe vera needs a lot of expertise.

Aloe vera belongs to the Lily family although many mistake it for cactus. Just one plant gives out suckers and could be removed and planted elslewhere. Thus within a year or two one could have several aloe vera plants from a single one.

The leaves need to be seasoned. This company recommends that the plant should be lateast 4 years. My personal experience tells me that even a two year plant can yield the same results.

The plant needs sandy soil and watering twice a week.

Aloe vera is a great skin moisturiser  besides being used for burns, tooth ache and as hair conditioner. The pure gel without the outer leaf is what that serves to take care of these issues although the outer skin aids indigestive problems.

The gel needs to be introduced in the system gradually As is the case with any therapy an overdoze could have undesirable consequences.

A well seasoned leaf should be slit open and the gel gently removed. If for oral consumption a bit of honey added could make it desirable. The gel needs to be refrigerated if not used immediately.

If one has dry hair or dandruff rubbing the gel into the scalp and the hair washed will get rid of the dandruff when applied once a week and within a month results should show

One can see instant results when the gel is applied on minor burns

Growing one’s own aloe vera plants work out much cheaper than having to buy the gel. Also what grows in a garden can be guaranteed to be hundred percent pure.

    • I have used aloe vera all my life. Besides the uses you mentioned it is antiseptic and a piece can be placed over a wound and it heals without a scar.

    • You are so right about the gel being good for minor skins or your skin. In Miami, those plants were everywhere! Lots of people had them in their yards. If the neighbor wanted they would break off a piece and share. The aloe plant is a miracle plant! They are easy to grow as they practically grow themselves. It has lots of medicinal purposes.

      • I have a few pots but sadly I do not use them the way I should. I have a dry scalp. I am now thinking of applying the gel on my scalp before going for my bath.

    • I agree with what you said. Aloe Vera is a ONE SOLUTION FOR MANY PROBLEMS.
I have joined a multinational company which manufactures the products like creams, soaps, gels, moisturizers, lotions, tabs for slimming body, powders, ointments for burns, skin products, Hair Oils etc. which are all based on Aloe Vera. They work very effectively.

There are many people who are doing a lucrative business and earning good money with the Aloe Vera plantation.

A person who has a land of 1 acre can easily get 1 lakhs per 1 Aloe vera crop. But he should provide necessary water and good manure for getting a good variety of Aloe Vera. If the soil is good like in Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh with good water facility he can reap a crop in a year.

This is the only plant which makes one energetic even when there is loss of blood. I drink Aloe Vera Juice regularly and I recommended this plant for many ailments.

    • i use Aloe Vera gel on my eyelashes to keep them long and nourished and it does work---i also use on my scalp as well---good stuff.
