They say music understands what we feel when no one does. I think this very true on my part because when I feel sad or alone and I can’t express my emotion, I will just listen to a song then I already feel good.
Nowadays, songs are already different… there are songs that seems to be crappy (sorry for the term) But there are some that inspires us.
My favorite song is “Imagine” by John Lennon. If people in my age hears me sing old songs, they will surely laugh at me and tell me that I am old fashioned but I don’t care. What matters most is that, those songs inspires me to be a better person, right?
How about you guys? Share your favorite songs here 🙂

With such question of yours, it triggers past memories of my beloved father. One of his favorite songs is What A Wonderful World. And now, it is also my classic fave song and in memory of him. I do agree that when I listen to music, it changes our mood setting in a particular time.

That’s a nice song indeed! That’s Louis Armstrong’s song right? Try listening to his song “When You’re Smiling”. It’s relaxing 🙂

They say music is the food of the soul, it can heal all sorts of frustrations and stuff. even when it comes to medical issues sometimes the doctors always recommend music for patients who have cancer or who are in a coma, this helps them regain consciousness. when you are down if you are like me, when you put on some music you will always feel relaxed and relieved.

I am sort of modifying your question to specifically – favorite song from a movie.  Because when it comes to favorite songs, I could be listing songs for 40 days and 40 nights and still change the list when done because I probably forgot one. From the soundtrack for “The Sound of Music” (Julie Andrews) to “The Gladiator” (Russell Crowe) and so many others in between. And that’s just songs from movies!

So I am going to say that this particular song has made it to my faves list. It’s from the soundtrack for the 1985 sci-fi movie D.A.R.Y.L.

I’m revisiting this question because when I woke up this morning my husband was playing some music videos and it got me thinking again about “favorites”.  Of course, it’s an impossible question to answer. Unless maybe you’re 5 years old. 🙂   But the longer you live, the longer your list gets.  🙂  Having thought about again, here are some more music picks.

♥ Back in the 60s, most of my favorite songs actually came from one movie:

“The Sound of Music” (1965; starring Julie Andrews)

♥ By the time it was the year 2000, the year all the computer clocks had to be changed, most of my favorite music once again actually came from one movie. It was the soundtrack to “The Gladiator” (starring Russell Crowe), which in my humble opinion was the “most outstanding soundtrack of the millennium!!!”

* * I’m sure as time goes on, I’ll have some more of my faves to share.

My favorite songs are Christian songs, most of this song are highly inspired and that is I love listening to them.

Come to other songs, the oldies are the best as they convey messages and filled with meaningful wordings.

Most song sing today are crabs, we hear only the beat, others, you don’t know the meaning.

When it comes to my favorite Christian hymns, the list is very long. That spiritual music has been comforting me from the earliest years of my life.

My daughter too is still young at 26. Though even when she was younger, she is into istening to old songs which she hears me playing in our component while she was growing up.

Imagine by John Lennon is a beautiful song indeed. So moving music.

John Lennon i think wrote that and with that , I can say that he is a very intelligent music writer and singer.

I actually have lots of favorite songs. I love the following old songs Love Boat by Jack Jones, My EYes Adore You, by Jack Jones and Can;t Get My Eyes Off you by Frankie Valle.

Can’t Get My Eyes Off You , makes me fall in love all over again like when we were just sweethearts, with my husband. 🙂

My daughter is in the 20-30 age range. Imagine my surprise when she came home with Stevie Wonder’s album “Innervisions”, which was extremely popular when I was attending the University of Miami (1972-1976).  My son download music from the Internet by artists like Tears for Fears and Queen.

Guess when it comes to good music, there is no generation gap! 🙂

My husband’s favorite love song of all time is “Nature Boy” performed by Nat King Cole, who wrote this song when he was only 16 years old.  Clearly, he was “the enchanted boy”.  I have to admit it … the song is timeless!
