What is the meaning of Split?

While replying to mentions and commenting to those people who left a comment on my posts, I learned that in line with a vote up, vote down, reply, you added trash, spam etc, and SPLIT. What is that? I thought it was a spit, but for sure we do not want to get rude in here spitting a comment on someone, lol. Yet SPLIT is for? Thanks in advance. Sorry for my ignorance on this.

I guess I have not noticed this yet. I sure hope no one is going to SPIT on us in here. I am not sure what this would mean unless it is like a neutral rating like someone is not liking it or disliking it. But that really does not make sense either since if you are not going to rate it like or dislike you could just not rate it at all. I hope someone clarifies this up for you @Grecy. |

I tried this in a forum on another site, and it allows for a conversation to be split into two separate threads. It would be handy when a discussion starts to veer off onto another topic. Splitting the conversation allows both topics to be accessed individually, and makes readers aware there is really a second discussion going on 🙂 |

Oh that makes sense since that happens a lot on topics especially when you have a lot of people commenting on them. As always, @ruby3881 you have the answer and are ever so helpful. |

@ruby3881 does it means commenting on different individuals that left a comment to your posts? We are getting used to mentioning them, so in this case it means splitting so that you don’t have to mention them? Thanks in advance. |

I do not see the Split anymore, I wonder why. I want to try this one but I am not seeing it. Did you see it, anyone?

No, I would think you’d still have to include the mentions. @grecy095. I think it’s usually supposed to be a moderator/admin function. That may be why you don’t see it now. |

I promise I saw that before, there were also trash and spam in line with Split. Maybe the admin is trying out that, on how it looks like on the site and they decided to delete it for now. |

The discussion seems to be interesting. I go over all your reactions and answers here for I am about to join with. But it has already been resolved after it has been clarified by @ruby3881. She pointed out that it is the function of the moderator/admin to “split” the issue or the discussion being taken up. It is good that everyone is so sensitive on what is going on here. |

@grecy, hahahaha, nice at least, I thought it is ongoing issue worth to talk about for points bounty. By the way, the word bounty this time becomes so popular after our new president bounty to whoever kills a drug lord or any criminal caught in act doing a heinous crime. 5 million bounty for the main drug lord, assistants to the drug lord, 3 million bounty, the rest, spread at P50,00 bounty hehehe. What a big bounty. Our policemen in CDO were awarded and given bounty for killing 2 drug lords.They resisted arrest, the fired the police first, so that was it, they forced themselves to shot the 2 drug lords hiding in Villa Candida Subdivision, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro city. They were Muslims under a Chinese drug lord. Good for them. |
