@swalia I suspect one of the reasons for it being quiet on LiteracyBase is that the site is not actively recruiting anywhere. Users must come to the site by word of mouth, and many newbies find it difficult to navigate a site with this specific type of interface. I know a lot of people said they disliked BlogJob, even when it was paying well, because they are using a WordPress platform with the forum setup similar to what we have here at LiteracyBase. I know I had first encountered this type of setup at EliteWriters and it was confusing to get around the profiles and such, even though I was familiar with publishing on WP.

Another issue is the fact that users cannot publish instantly, nor can we access our articles for the purpose of editing. And we are kept only to a front-end post submission page that lacks some of the formatting and HTML options that other sites (e.g. Daily Two Cents and its sister sites) make available to help improve writing quality and even SEO. I would recommend to the staff that at least the HTML tab

I would recommend to the staff that the HTML tab be made accessible on the “Post Now” form and that users be allowed to post without moderation after they have been deemed trustworthy. I think being able to post right away without a moderation queue would encourage the newer users, and being able to edit or even delete posts would be a big bonus for those who have shown themselves to be reliable contributors.

People don’t like feeling that their content is being controlled by the site. It’s a sign of good faith when the site allows users to edit their own content or delete it if they will. There may be some who would abuse that feature, but it’s better to deal with just the abusers rather than to give the impression that the site owners don’t trust their writers.

@ Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) I know the posts being moderated by the staff is not liked by all. But for me, it’s a kind of relief. I can be sure that once the staff has approved and published the posts, I will be paid. I once lost 100$ payment on a site because my post was plagarised by someone else. However it would be better if we are at least allowed to edit the posts. Another site I work on allows the users to edit posts but the edited posts are published only after the changes are approved by the moderators. May be they can implement a similar thing here!

There are lots of writing sites besides LB, like Mylot, Mykites, EW, Hubpages, but from these, I prefer this site, Mylot, and Mykites. The only issue on Mykites is that you don’t have any idea on when you will get paid. Right now I am not writing and not having any goal when it comes to writing. I rather post on forums, which I am doing right now and some forum site I know. I also prefer posting pictures like on Rabadaba. Less words. But this is just for now, there will be days that I love posting long story.
