@support The site is running very slowly at the moment. The pages are timing out as they attempt to load, and many times I’m getting a 500 error. At least one other person is experiencing the same problem. I hope you can address this promptly. Thanks!

Even I am getting this problem again and again. I am agree that this site seems really slow sometimes and I get 500 error too. I guess they need to upgrade the hosting service or something to have smooth performance. Site’s smooth performance is important thing for sites like this, so hope they will do something about it.

Whatever needs to be done, I hope support can get it sorted quickly. As you say, this sort of problem hurts the site. Slow load time affects site ranking – but even more importantly, if the site won’t load properly, members and potential readers will stop using the site.

It seems it was worst while a number of new posts were being approved. I don’t know if that info helps the staff any, but I figure I’d want to know…

I’m probably that other one that Kyla referred to in her post above. I just joined, and my very first response to a forum post got the 505 error. I was afraid it had disappeared into cyberspace. I was relieved to find it hadn’t when I was able to access the site again.

@ Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) I agree with you. It is important for any site to have regular readers. But with such problem, I don’t think readers will like to come again and again. And yes it is possible that we may lose regular readers for this site like this way. So better to do something about it soon enough. And yes loading time of site surely affect the rank of the site.

So, is this issue still coming?

@ Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) I have been also receiving repeated errors off late. I hope the @support takes notice of this and do the needful for a better user experience.

Thank you for answering, @support. I hope you can find a longer term solution because the situation seems to have worsened this week. It used to be exceedingly rare that I got such an error. Then last week it started to happen once or twice a day. Tonight it was at a point where the errors were happening more often than I was able to get a page to load. It was a block of roughly 30 minutes during which the chances of getting a page to load were almost nil.

Had I been a new visitor to the site, I would likely have given up and gone away. I may not have given the site another chance.

@Ruby3771, Me too, I was not able to log on this site for two days  because of error 500. I was not happy at all with this error that always pops up blocking our war way to the site.

I had experience the crocodile smiling error for the last few days especially when I tried to submit new posts.

Fortunately that I had saved my posts first before I hit the submit button, otherwise I had to pull my hair out and retype the whole posts again.

I think it is the server problem or the internet line is slow.

Anyway, glad that support had replied
