Author Posts

Recently this site has drastically reduced the amount paid to the articles we write here. Definitely, it is not at all in the interest of the site nor its user members. It is the duty of the ‘admin’ of this site to come out in the open and explain the reasons for the same. I wonder, how they are shirking their responsibility and keeping silent on the issue!

Guess they want more SEO writing and topics, not the personal posts!! IMO

June 17, 2016 at 11:40 pm

@JoDee Stout, At least please go through my article ‘titles’ before commenting like this. Do you think that my articles are personal rants? Very bad on your part.

June 18, 2016 at 12:29 am

@raaman I think JoDee was talking about her own writing, not yours.

June 18, 2016 at 1:35 am

All, I was stating is that you gain more points if you have SEO topics.  I’ve evn read that some where in discussions.I was talking in general….geesh!!

@ruby399, now I take offense at your comment!

June 18, 2016 at 1:45 am

@raaman, I never said anything about personal rants either!!

June 18, 2016 at 3:44 am

I agree with JoDee I have noticed that if we write  something about us they rate us differently than for example talking about technology in general.

I agree with you as well in that they have reduced payment rates.

@4cryingoutloud

Good grief, JoDee! Why be offended?

You have more than once said you prefer to write personal content and don’t care to write SEO. Last I heard, you were even contemplating whether you wanted to continue writing here because you didn’t feel your posts were appreciated here.

It’s come up a few times lately, so I figured that was why you were mentioning it here. I just didn’t think it was fair for Rajaraman to assume you meant his posts. Very touchy, on his part!

Did everybody take a sensitive pill this week, or what? Everywhere I go online, people are putting words in each others’ mouths, getting upset over things that normally would be overlooked, and downright picking fights with one another. It’s like getting stuck in some weird, virtual edition of an old Star Trek episode! I’m going to be on the lookout for spore-shooting flowers and strange parasites….

@4cryingoutloud/

Oh please my friends, cool down a little.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding in words.

Please don’t take it too hard.

I am sure everyone isn’t pleased with the new pay rate right now.

Me too.

Yes, the admin did mentioned about SEo and keywords stuff for better earnings.

I have to admit that MY rant post doesn’t bring any SEO nor keywords neither.

That is why I don’t write Rant post anymore.

Honestly, I had read @raaman/ posts a lot.

Majority are about SEO, traffic and money making posts which are very helpful for everyone.

So does @ruby3881/, her posts are related to increasing traffic using social media tips and tricks and I like her ideas.

As for @4cryingoutloud/, she did well in her opinion posts, I can’t say that those are Rant posts, but she is very open to her thoughts which I agree that I do feel the same way too. Just that I am not open to everyone else.

Come on, everyone of you did well in your posts, honestly, I am not bluffing!

The only problem right now is the @admin and @support aren’t coming out clean why the pay rate had gone down.

Hopefully, they will post a notification and let us know what is going on.

Then, we can continue to write here in peace, harmony and happily.

Cheer up folks!

Peace!

@ Rajaraman K  I agree with you! The rates have gone down again and there is no update about this. The members ought to know what is the criteria for evaluating the posts. I have read many of your posts where you write about blogging & internet marketing etc. which I believe are all related to SEO and should be considered as quality posts. In my case, I have found that sometimes my personal posts also earn the same amount as the posts about specific topics. I don’t really understand what is the criteria for varying rates for different posts of same word limit.

June 18, 2016 at 1:58 pm

@swalia/

yup it is hard to understand how the LB team are thinking, which posts generate good traffic, which aren’t, what are the criteria, what are the specific word count…

I am testing out 2 of my pending posts now.

One with the keywords and the other aren’t .

Then, I would able to figure out which post generate more money.

June 18, 2016 at 2:23 pm

ok guys and gals, one of my post had been published just a minute ago.

It is 635 words, related to shyness and how to over come it.

I had inserted keywords in the post.

earned 18 cents.

Compare to previous rate, I lost 4 cents.

what do you think?

June 18, 2016 at 2:47 pm

I think we just have to hope that Literacybase gets approved Adsense account soon.

Without advertising revenue, it is hard for them to pay a high rate.

If there are 20 published posts a day, and the average per post if 15 cents, the total cost comes to $3.  This is on top of payment for comments, getting visitors, and other payments.

June 18, 2016 at 11:00 pm

@ruby3881, as you can see in other comments, I’m NOT the only one who has this view! Good grief!!  There has also been a member that has quit because she doesn’t  feel her personal writing is good enough.  So, when I commented it wasn’t “just me” who has this opinion!

June 19, 2016 at 1:13 am

It is surprising that rates went down again.

Actually, in past (about 5 weeks back) – some of us were discussing on rate increase. Now, the other way round – OOPS!

Genuinely speaking, I am not witnessing any change (no offense here). It is same 0.15$ – my all time high

But I guess they reduced the system may be to sustain (just like why blogjob reduced daily limit from 150 to 100 for new users and later terminated rewards system). While I personally believe that websites must start small and go big rather than starting big and then going down.

Interestingly, we are still to await response from @support and @admin on the subject matter. Anyways, unless they respond, we can only make wild guesses which won’t actually help anyone.
