Reading updates of members
Author | Posts |
This is my downside. I never see the updates of the members. Since it doesn’t give notification. Unless someone will give a piece of comment from the members. If the LB can just send notification that a member had written an update, it is possible to have the chance of reading the members’ updates.

@Shavkat You are right there. We do not get notifications even when comments are made on blogs. I am tagging @support. |
|
This is why I like to tag the author when I comment. They’ll usually get a notification for the mention (although today I’m getting notifications but then the mention won’t show…) |
|
@ruby3881 I tag each and every comment of mine no matter where. I get to see them in my activity but the responses are not always included in my notifications. I have tagged support and hope they will rectify this. |

@bestwriter I guess it is a good idea. I hope it will be done. The new feature for this will be handy and productive for all of us. |

I am getting the little orange pop-up notifications for mentions but when I look in mentions or notifications, nothing is there. I hope I’m not missing anybody! I hope @support can figure out why the notifications aren’t displaying or redirecting properly…. |

@ruby3881 I look everywhere specially on the right hand side where we read activities of users here. The site is still young and I am sure they are aware of what improvements are required for its smooth functioning. |

That’s how I’ve been finding my mentions too, Grace. It does take extra time, though. Which means I’m less inclined to take the time to check if I’m busy with other things. As you say, we all divide our time between different activities on different sites as well as offline. As you say, we all divide our time between different activities on different sites as well as offline. I have a strong preference for writing and interacting on sites that run smoothly, so I make them my priority. If there are technical issues for a brief time, I try to understand and give the site owners time to address whatever is wrong. But once I start to experience a lot of continuing issues that are not even being discussed, let alone resolved, I tend to give the site a bit of a wide berth. |

@kaka135 I find it awkward to read and respond to other users’ wall updates here on LB. You’re right: it was much easier to keep up with the news on BlogJob because of the notifications and the timeline feature. I think these things are not necessarily standard features when a site like LB sets up its forums and profile pages. They probably require additional programming that not every site owner is equipped to manage. Even if they are programmers, often there are much higher priority tasks that take up their time. It could be one of those “when I get around to it” things… 😀 |

Whenever I get a notification saying someone mention me I dont see what topic is it that’s why sometimes I will just ignore the notification because its really hard to guess what thread that person has mentioned me. |

@anjee the best is to go to your notifications and tackle everything there. |
