@Lee Ka I try to respond/comment to every alert I get but navigation here is not simple. There is a lot of work involve.

@ruby3881 I read the tooltip for vote up is “This reply is useful” and vote down is “This reply is not useful”, so I just try to vote up any comment that I think is useful. 😛 @bestwriter Yes, I am always trying to catch up with the notification and also participate in the new topics as well, but I agree with you, it isn’t easy to do so for me too. I don’t have that much time to do, and also I agree that the site loads a bit slow for me. I guess we just take our time slowly to work on what we want to. 🙂 |

@kaka135 With how-to or other informative topics, the criterion of “usefulness” would be easier to judge. But in many of the fora, the discussions are conversational. If we apply the rule of thumb that “useful” in that setting means “adds to the discussion,” then most comments deserve a thumbs up. In terms of the thumbs down, I would think that “not useful” means something more like “detracts from the conversation” or “potentially damaging to the community,” rather than simply stating that the comment didn’t add anything new or helpful. But in those cases, I think I’d probably prefer to report a comment that is abusive or to ignore one that is borderline, rather than to draw attention to it by voting down. |

I have wondering the same about those points underneath our names. So far, I haven’t seen anyone with another ranking other than newbies yet. As for voting up, I don’t always remember to do it, but will pay more attention when I see a helpful/useful/informative comment. Thank you @Lee Ka for the information, and thank you @Ruby3883 for the “kindness deed” suggestion! It doesn’t hurt to be nice 🙂 |

@icybc Unless we get into the habit of voting points will not increase. I too am guilty of it. |

Yes, those points are the number votes you get for your comments. The writers who like your comments vote up, you get one point.
I agree that commenting on forums and groups could help your points to accumulate higher but I doubts these points had anything to do with earnings. Maybe more points, your rank will change to something else besides Newbie. Let us see @kaka135/, she has 181 points the highest at the moment. |

You have understood it all so perfectly. Yes @Lee Ka has the highest score. She will soon be promoted, hopefully. |
