Author Posts

I have already talked about urgently wanting a word count, a preview of our blog before we click the submit button and a few tips on what defines quality here. I have a few more needs

1. To go to the next page in groups and forums we need to go right down. We must have a provision on top as well

2. I do not see a search option for getting to forums and groups. May be there is one but I have not found it yet.

3. To get back to the main topic in forums and groups from sub topics how does one do it.

4. I have noticed LB adds images/modifications in presentation in our blogs. Would be happy if our approval is received before publishing our blogs.

5.  A provision to upload our videos from our own collection rather than going to youtube where we have our collection.

You can add more if you feel the need for any more.

@support – are you listening?  (lol)

I think it is good to have more details about traffic sources, especially those from search engines.

It is good to know what keywords the readers use, and the articles that get search engine traffic.  It is good to know because we can learn more about seo in this way.

@scheng1 I also want to know, although we tag our group and forum posts I do not know where I can post those tags to get to concerned forums.

Your suggestions are useful. Let’s see if @support will visit here and react.

@bestwriter I’m not entirely sure that a site like LB will want to allow for video uploads. If the videos are streamed from YouTube, there is no need to worry about storing the files. If you’d like to include your own videos, perhaps it’s best to just upload them to YouTube yourself.

@bestwriter  I agree with most of your suggestions. It would be really nice if there is a provision on the top of the discussion itself to go to the next page.

I would also like to have notifications when somebody comments on our blogs.

@swalia I definitely agree that a notification for comments on our posts would be helpful.

I have been trying to remember to tag writers when I comment, so they will get a notification for the mention. I discovered that we can also see the comments mentioned if we filter our Activity for posts. All the comments will show beneath the mention of the post itself.

@scheng1 Yes, it would be good to be able to see more analytics so we can determine which of our posts are getting the best traffic. An SEO tool of some kind would also be most helpful.

@bestwriter Yes, adding tags is a great idea but it would be more helpful if we could browse the tags! Also, we should have a field for tags in the “Post Now” form.

@ruby3881 I am already uploading my videos through youtube but if a direct upload is possible that will be nice.

@support  There is one other point that I want to add here and that is in history we should be able to identify the posts against their earnings.

June 1, 2016 at 2:36 pm

There are many sites like this lacking important parts in a blog world. Maybe they also do not know or would alloaw them to spend too to hire experts to include the important parts in this site as mentioned by this post.

It might be, they are still studying as this site is a baby site?

@bestwriter When you see the item for a post in your points history, the word “Link” appears next to it. If you click the link you can see which post the item refers to.

@lovern This is a new site, and we have to give the team some time to get everything up to speed.

The priority now is to get advertisements.

After that, they can spend time to revamp the site, and add in all the things that we like to have.

@ruby3881  Thanks. I was not aware of it.

@bestwriter/

I was wondering whether we could write our post and save as Draft since the Draft button is there.

If it is not applicable for newbie, then at what stage it is considered as allowed?

How about edit our post while awaiting for approval?

How about edit our post after approval and published for spelling mistakes?

June 1, 2016 at 6:45 pm

@peachpurple.  Once we submit the post we do not see it until it goes live.

And as for draft I have not done that but even then I would not know how to get to the draft.

June 1, 2016 at 10:23 pm

@peachpurple  If you save your draft, you will not be able to get into it to continue. This has happened to me the first post I was writing. Wish I would have known before I did that.

@bestwriter   These are great points about what would be nice to have on this site. I would also like to be able to know when people comment on our posts just like we do in the forums. I would like to be able to see the earnings for our blog posts separate from the other earnings since sometimes I have multiple pages of earnings from visitor referrals.

@ruby3881  thanks for the info. I had not tried to click on the link to see which post earned what amount. I will have to do that next time. I also did not think about going to activity to check for comments on posts. I was going to them individually, so this will save some time.

I have been tagging the authors of the posts I comment on but do not know if it works. I just figured it would do like when we do in our comments in the forums.
