I prefer 300-500 words post. I do not like to read a very long post with numerous unnecessary words. Even if the post has only 100 words as long as well-written and with a very good ending and beginning, I mostly like. I used to read long and short stories and finished them until climax.

That depends on the subject matter.

It is not the number of words in a post, but the layout.

If all the words are in just 3 paragraphs, I will not likely to read it.

I like all the words spaced out with some pictures or a lot of white space between,  I like big font too.  Even if the blog contains 2000 words, I will still read through when the subject matter is very interesting.

Before I go for my first cruise, I read a lot of forum threads and blog posts.  I want to know what to expect, and some blog posts are really lengthy.  I read them all, word by word.
