I am almost at the $3 mark almost halfway.

@markyg Considering your time has been divided between studies and vacation until recently, I’d say you’re doing quite well!

@peachpurple I am trying an experiment to see what seems to be adding value to posts. I am trying to not add a second image, or even to create my own featured image. This way, my posts are more similar to what others here are posting. The main difference is that I take care with certain elements of SEO (title and image tags, mostly.)

I published a 472-word parenting post (with a political connection) last night. It published very quickly compared to my longer posts, which makes me wonder if shorter posts might be processed sooner. I’ll be watching for that with my upcoming posts too.

Other than publishing quickly, it earned 15 cents. I don’t have a lot of other posts of about that length, but my one other post of that length earned 15 cents as well. I had to reach the 500-word mark to earn 22 cents.

The next step is to try a shorter post, closer to 300 words, and another that is around 500 words. I have a hypothesis I want to test about the length of the posts….

I request all of you to check your notification today after the post from @support came as they have already corrected the pay rate. I am sure now you must be reading the true pay per post. I had three posts (articles) published today 2 @300 words and one @500 words and paid 52 cents for them.

@sunil So you are saying the rates have gone back to what people had grown to expect? That’s very encouraging! I haven’t submitted today, but I will soon. I’ll be watching the points once the posts publish 🙂

@ruby3881/

surprisingly, yesterday I had 2 posts published earning 22 cents each,

585 words about parenting post with seo keywords and another is a recipe without seo nor keywords 693 words.

Both had featured image only, no 2nd images.

Today, I had posted a health post with lots of 2nd images and featured image, 621 words, plus SEO keywords. Let me see how this turns out.

If you are right, I think we should leave out 2 nd image and make short post around 400-500 words will do with SEO and keywords.

if less than 500 words with keywords earns you 15 cents that means it is better to write more than 500 words to earn 22 cents?

@sunil/

i checked my notifications, nope nothing from the support.

Do you have the link to the post where support mentioned about the new pay rate?

DO share. Thanks

I really don’t keep track, just as long as I’m making some money!!  I’m over the half way mark, but it’s been so hot, just don’t have much to write about here.

@peachpurple I haven’t submitted yet, as I got busy offline. I think I will try one short post and one about 500 words long, just to see what happens. If I have time I’ll edit a longer post that’s almost ready for publication, as well.

@sunil The problem with watching the bank is you have to be watching exactly when the post is published. most of my posts publish while I’m asleep and, in the hours I’m away from the computer, there are pages upon pages of visitors referrals that come in. Plus sometimes I get credit for approved comments or commissions on a referred member’s posts. It would be tough for me to see if the bank figure is matching the history exactly.

@peachpurple I never said @support mentioned anything about pay rate but he notified that the maintenance work was on and there will be a delay in publication of posts. After that he published few posts and now rates are displaying correctly.

My rates were the same as right now but they were not displaying correctly.

@Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) Not exactly, you can always go back a few pages and see what you got. As far views are concerned I have them spread over 522 pages in my notification. But I keep a strict vigil on every activity even if I am not directly concerned or react on everything.

I got three of my blogs approved yesterday and I too notice that they have reverted to the old rates.

The income here is so slow , don’t know if many persevere in this site.

OK , do let me know how your post pay rate goes. I am eager  to know whether the images and word counts are related to it or not.

ahhh. sorry pal, my mistake, I had misunderstood you. I thought you had mentioned so. Sorry.

Anyway, my last 2 posts went back to the 22 cents rating. I am glad to see that.

yeah, let us see whether the rate is coming back or not . Otherwise had to write double the number of regular posts here

@sunil While it’s not a problem to look at the history and pinpoint earlier entries, it’s impossible to roll back the bank. You only see the latest balance. If dozens of different credits are added to the account while I sleep, the only thing I can do is to ensure that the totals balance. If there were a discrepancy related to the payment for a post, I would only know that there was an inaccuracy and not where or when it occurred.

There is also the possibility that there is sometimes a lag between the bank and the points history. This has happened on other sites because of the way points were counted.

@peachpurple So far nothing to report, Peachy. I am waiting for a short post (390 words) in the parenting category to publish, but it’s been about two days now and it seems nothing new has published in that time…

@ruby3881 I am also interested to know if the number of images in the post does matter. I usually just add a featured image to my post. If the pay rates are back to the previous ones, I think you’ll get to earn 22 cents for 500+ words post, but 15 cents for less than 500 words post. Hence, I think it’d be good if we can just make it to 500+ if it’s near to 500 words, likes yours. I think it is not difficult for you to add a few more words, but you can earn slightly more. 🙂

I wonder if the moderators are manually reviewing the posts, hence the shorter posts get to published first as they spend more time reading the longer ones.

@sunil I wonder why the team reverts the pay rates to the old ones. Are the old rates easier to calculate or better for the site to grow? As I am not familiar with SEO, the old rates are certainly better for me, but perhaps it helps to push us to learn more about SEO with the new rates.
