Fun Writing Project: A dream house
Author | Posts |
A house is something dear to everyone of us. Even children like to draw about their dream house, and they will add in daddy, mummy, cat, dog and their siblings This fun writing project is about your dream house. What is your dream house? A ranch? A seaside house? A boat house? A penthouse facing the Central Park? an isolated mansion in an island that belong to you? Write as if you have bought the dream house. You can write about the purchase of the dream house. You can write about the features of the house (marble tiles bathroom/sunshine shining into the kitchen). You can write about life in the dream house. Whatever it is, hope you have a happy time visualizing the dream house, and your life in this house.

I’m going to have to give that one a good, hard think! I want to try to approach the topic from an unusual angle…. |
that is a good starter, a dream house, I might go for it after I have done with my drafts. Still a lot of back log posts that I had not completed yet. Thanks for sharing your ideas go for it! You are good with imagination posts and well written too. Best of luck, looking forward to your dream house post |
@ruby3881 Yes, I still thinking how to approach it too. If I want a mansion in an island, then I cannot have pizza delivery! @peachpurple hope to read yours. It sure will be marvelous. |
@peachpurple Thanks so much for the compliment! I really do value your good thoughts 🙂 @scheng1 Ah, pizza delivery! Do you have all-night pizza delivery where you are? It’s something I miss, not living in Montreal anymore. We used to call for pizza or souvlaki at 3 am sometimes. We weren’t so lucky with the Chinese restaurants, and most of the Indian and other places either didn’t deliver or shut down early. But I still miss that part of living in the city…. |
@ruby3881 yes, over here a few supermarkets within walking distances open 24 hours, and home delivery for pizza and other fast food restaurants also available 24 hours. I seldom order pizza after midnight, but it is comforting to know that such services exist in case I get hungry. |
@scheng1 I envy you! A lot of the 24-hour services in Montreal had been cut off because of crime. But there were still a few delivery services, and we loved to order late at night. We were night owls, and hubby often worked until after midnight. So we appreciated being able to order a nice brochette or a pizza, or even just hot dogs, at a time that for us was like the dinner hour. |
@ruby3881 then you better set your dream house in a safe and good environment. Over here, some apartments are built on top of shopping malls. They have separate gate with security features and security guards. Since the supermarkets are opened 24 hours and many fast food are opened 24 hours, the residents can just take the elevator down to the mall for a wee morning snack. |
@scheng If I really had a million dollars I would likely keep a townhouse or apartment in the city – possibly several in different world cities so I could partake of the culture and the overnight pizza delivery! But my true dream house would have to be a homestead in the country. No pizza there! We’ll be lucky to have internet service…. |
Where I am moving to has Chinese delivery so we will be in heaven. I do not have that now and the only thing that delivers is pizza which is expensive and not always desirable. It does get tiring although I never thought I would ever say that since when I was a child pizza was what I always wanted for dinner. Of course, that was homemade pizza though much better than delivery. @scheng1 I would love to be able to take the elevator down to a restaurant. That would be very convenient to be on top of the shopping mall. Maybe a little too convenient for my wallet. LOL @ruby3881 I also think that you do a great job writing and wish I had your skill and knowledge base for writing. I have learned a lot from you and value your help. You are awesome. |
@morgoodie Aw, thank you for the compliment Sherry! When I first started web writing I was mentored by some really knowledgeable and talented writers. In some ways I still feel that my skill is far from theirs, but I do recognize that I’ve come a long way. I like to think that I’m paying it forward now. If I’m able to help, that’s great! BTW, I miss Chinese delivery! I haven’t tried the Chinese here in town, but when we first moved here we tried it in the neighbouring city. It was such a disappointment! I think I might want to wait until I can get to a really big city like Vancouver, before I eat Chinese again… |
@morgoodie @ruby3881 @peachpurple This is getting really hilarious. From a dream house, the topic becomes Chinese delivery. I think someone has to start a new writing challenge about food! |
@scheng1 Maybe that will have to be the next one! And maybe we need that “split” option, after all…. |
@scheng1 LOL This discussion did take a little detour from the original topic. Sorry about that but someone mentioned food and the different delivery options they had so I just got side tracked by food. Now I see where my son gets it from. Haha. But doesn’t a dream house need good food? My son when he was about 3 or 4 he would tell me that he was going to build a huge house so that me, my sister, grandma, and anyone else who wanted to live with him could. He was going to have a McDonald’s attached to it so we could have food and also his favorite restaurant at the time Out Back. Except he was going to call it Back Out. Maybe I should write his story of a dream house. Hmmm something to think about. |
@morgoodie Your son really has a good imagination. |
