I wrote a blog on Literacy Base but did not know what feature image to upload. @support did that for me.

If you were to write a blog on Literacy Base what feature image would you choose? pencils-161141_960_720-150x150

This is the image that Support chose for this blog.

I read that post earlier, and I can understand why you might not know what image to use! I try to select something that will be a visual representation of the topic. Sometimes it’s a lot easier than others!

A “thumbs up” image can be appropriate if you are writing about the positives of a subject. Or if you want to focus on earning potential, you might choose an image that has some money in it. If it’s just general writing, you might choose an old-fashioned image of someone writing with pen and paper. For higher tech, maybe a computer?

Looking back on it, are you happy you let support choose?

@ruby3881  You have some real good thoughts on this and yes I was not happy when I let support choose – don’t tell them  😀

@bestwriter/

another cute message from you!

I never wanted LB to decide what featured image to put in my post.

So, I would choose either from pixabay or my own photos.

If I were in your case, I would choose a hand writing on a paper, a laptop, money trickling, spongebob with a smiley face

Anyway, I love your post .

The pencil image is kind of “childish”

Maybe a real photo of pencil or pen would be better!!

@bestwriter The best way to get a featured image for your post is to go to pixabay and type the keyword in its search bar. Save it on your desktop and then upload it, why leave it to support to do it for you!

What’s it with support I wonder. I too found it kiddish.   😀

@suny  I do that and also upload my own; Wikimedia commons too have some great image – I use them, but being a literacy base post I thought LB would have some good ones too choose from.

I suspect that the staff here are much more the programming type than the creative type. Perhaps they choose these simplistic designs because they are just as stumped as you are about what image to use!

I use free images from Pixabay. I like to include post of my interest and I hope they won’t argue.Sad until this time I still have 4 pending posts.

@ruby3881  – Your message is loud and clear  😎

@cely  – I do that too but since this was Literacy Base blog I thought they would do a better job   😀

On the featured image I use, I use the one that really close to my topic. There are lots to use when you click on Pixabay. I have been using Pixabay ever since and sometimes I edit the picture I got from Pixabay to make it look genuine on my posts but I put Pixabay as credit. I am glad Support help you with your image. Support is really supportive, isn’t it?

@Grecy Garcia – I will have to repeat what I have already said. I too have enough and more outlets to select featured images. I only thought  that LB could do a better job as that blog was concerning LB.

@bestwriter so sorry for that. Maybe I am not reading it right, talking about me being no brain.

Maybe they just do not have the time to choose a better one than they did. Or maybe it is like @ruby3881 said that they are not that creative. I sometimes find it hard to find just the right picture to use for a post. Sometimes, there just isn’t a specific image that would give a visual image to what your post is about.
