In the absence of an emoticon feature here at LB I do them this way for some emotions. You just need to type colons on both side touching the word. For example if you want ‘smile’ then type the word smile and the put colons on either side of the word. I did that and I got this

🙂

There are a few emotions that work that way

smile, angry, angel, kiss, crying, scared, winking, tongue, not talking, grin straight face.

:kiss:

All do not seem to work here. Would you know any other way?

@bestwriter/

Yeah, I saw your posts with the smiley emoticons.

I found this at Facebook for the kiss

Semi colon ( 2 dots one up and one down ) plus a star ( above number 8)

Does it work?

@peachpurple – No it did not work. So far my methods work here for cool, smile and grin.

Let me see if tongue works

:tongue:

I only know the emoticon for smile and sad and tongue sticking out but for the rest of the emoticons, I need to search for it. I don’t bother though because I usually forget it. I would to put a smiley on this comment 🙂

This is good to know. Thanks for sharing. I would do the smiley face the old fashioned way of using the colon and the right parenthesis. But your way opens up more possibilities and I will have to try them out.  🙂  😎

Yay!! they worked. Lol

Thanks for sharing this. I was looking for the emoticons here. Now, I learned it for you. “smile”

@Shavkat  Only 3 are working for me here

😀   🙂   😎

I was able to find a list of emoticons that are supposed to work with the WP forum plugin. Assuming this is what we have here on LB, the emoticons on this list should work:

Does :mrgreen: work here?

@ruby3881

Good  💡

This along with what I already have should suffice to express my emotions. Thanks.

@bestwriter I am so happy they work! 😆 It’s very 😎 to have a few extra emoticons. It looks like maybe we could get support to add to the collection later too.
