Earnings for 1700 words and 2200 words blog posts
Author | Posts |
@support if you please do not put me in the complaining type members I would request you to please divide posts in at least two categories and as @bestwriter suggested even the posts with useful info with 300 words category could be put in a little higher earning category. I hope my suggestion will be considered favorably by side admins.

@scheng1 Thank you for sharing this! I personally prefer to write posts between 300-350 words. I can’t write long posts. @Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) Thanks for explaining this! I have not much knowledge about SEO and I write mostly about the things I know about. But you have given some pretty good ideas here. I think I will start writing about Indian recipes. |

@jentleheart I do not recall your username in any of the sites I wrote before. What is your old username? You are right that I wrote a lot of finance and money related topics. I will add more words to those Bubblews posts, and publish here. |

I agree that writing shorter posts would be better in terms of earning. If you write 500 words per post , you could earn around 22 cents. with 1700 words, you could be earning 66 cents not 35 cents. I once wrote an article with 1000 words and end up with 35 cents too. Hence, i don’t write such long post anymore. I follow suit with the rest of our pioneer writers here, either 300 or 500 words per post. More post, more money. Anyway, your 1700 words should fetch a good price elsewhere. As for Bubblews post, yeah, add in more sentences to make 500 words, at least you can earn 22 cents. Best of luck |

@kaka135 The great thing about writing better is that better money comes with it too 🙂 It’s easy to see the short term, especially with an unproven site. It’s also easy to look around and decide that nobody else is doing more than the bare minimum. So those who want to justify doing less will always find an excuse. And those who try to put more effort into their work will end up being discouraged over the lower rate of pay – or the fact that others are getting the same pay for less work. At such times the little bonus helps bolster our spirits. Or perhaps it’s the recognition of our fellow writers that will lift us up. If we can all work together to build the community and to reward the higher quality writing, it really does benefit everyone. So we mustn’t be stingy – neither writers nor staff. I think the staff has shown good faith by raising the rates and offering bonuses. Now is the time for the writers to show what we can do. |

@bestwriter There is no doubt that you are a very good writer who writes from your heart. I have not heard of a single bad thing written by you to complain about anyone. Your posts are always encouraging and uplifting! |
|
@peachpurple if you take the rate for 300 words article, that is the best value for money. If I want to lengthen the post to 500 words, I might as well write to 600 words, and split into 2 posts. I will get 15 cents x 2 = 30 cents, instead of 22 cents for a single 500 words blog. |
|
@nakitakona13 Why not? One is a short story and the other is an imaginary cruise travel. I think when you write topics near to your heart, you will find it easy to write on and on and on. By the time you stop, you would have more than 2000 words already. |

@scheng1 oh yeah, I forgot i used a different username. It was jenny1015 I decided to use a new pen name when I started with an inspirational blog almost two years ago. |
|
@jentleheart haha, I remember jenny1015. Glad to see you here! I wonder about the old friends from Helium and Associated Content. I think we will not recognize each other here. Both sites require us to use real names, not pen name! I sure do not want to use real name. I rather have pen name so that I can keep my real life separate from my online life. |
|
@scheng1 Glad you renember! Lol I also try not to use my real name coz sometimes I write about personal stuff and I wouldnt want my in laws to be firing me with so many questios if ever they come across any of my posts! I am sure that some of our fellow writersfrpm other sites are here. Some may be using a new pen name, too. |
|
@jentleheart Yes, some may be using a new pen name. Most will be using the same usernames, because we are used to it, and we like to find old friends. |

@ruby3881 It is definitely easier to do as others do since they get away with it. I know from personal experience that this happens in all walks of life and work. Many of the employees that I was in charge of would do this if they were not told to do otherwise. It seems that people want to get the most money out of the least amount of effort or work. I was not raised this way and cannot see why people cannot see the bigger picture that if they put in more effort they will eventually reap the benefits. I am not saying that there are people like that here since I do not know, but I can see how this could be a problem if a site does have people like that. In all work that is done, we have to look to the bigger picture and do what is going to sustain the site so that we can keep a decent place to work and communicate with other people like ourselves. |

It is surprising that people are actually writing 2200 word long posts. I agree with @support that personal stories are not liked much by search engine. In fact those articles are very short niche which may OR may not work. Writing how to and what you know helps everyone in the long run. I agree with @grecy095 to think of SEO while writing. However, more than 75% of the writers dont know about SEO. Yes, I too belong to that 75%. We need someone who can explain SEO in layman’s terms. We however, don’t prefer to quit writing until that happens. We had always perceived writing as a passion rather than a business idea. Nevertheless, we cannot ignore SEO which is always required to get traffic. But, SEO alone is not sufficient. I know people who are just madly writing to satisfy SEO and this is negatively impacting content quality. We need a proper balance. |

They may have short attention spans but to save a document to read later is always a choice they have. |
