@support Thank you for clarifying the ranking and voting system to us, it’s good for us to know more about it, so we can contribute and do well on the site.

@grecy095 I do not want to try voting down anyone, especially you being so helpful in the community. Perhaps we will just wait for support to answer that. Anyway, I will just ignore the “vote down” button and hopefully I will not accidentally click on it, as it’s just so near to vote up.

I think it’s a good topic to write about LiteracyBase, since there are not many related articles on the Internet. Writing more about the site will help others to understand the site better when others are researching LB before joining.

@ruby3881 I still do not think the points we get here affect our earnings so far, though I might be wrong. I always enjoy participating in forums and interacting with others, so I just share what I know with others and learn from others as well. I will try to share more, I am finding time to do so.

I did not participate much in forums perhaps that is the reason I did not notice it but I guess it is the right time I should go and vote everyone up. Thanks for bringing it up to my notice.

@kaka135 that is good, I thought you are trying. Let us wait till @support clears this up. I don’t want to have a negative reputation either. I am just assuming that the reputation will get lowered down because I experienced that on my different forum sites.

@ Grecy Garcia  I tried to read almost everything on this post but could not understand the reference about negative voting here! Would you please let me know about that?

I have been trying to remember to vote up when I read a comment that was really helpful and gave some very good information. @LeeKa has been an extremely big help in getting to know this site and it is much appreciative. So has @Grecy. They have both helped to get these forums up and going so that we can have many topics to comment on to earn more points. I wish that the buttons were a little bit darker though so that they would be easier to see. Or maybe I am just getting old. LOL Not sure which it is, but I sometimes have to look real hard in order to find them.

I think if we vote down then the points will be taken away as this makes sense that they go up when you vote up. I still have a lot to learn about this site and I still need to make a blog post which I hope to do soon.

@kaka135 I agree with you: the forum score feels more like a reputation thing than a matters of earnings. I believe the goal is to establish some people as regular contributors, mentors, or even experts in a given area. Obviously, once somebody achieves such a rank other readers will give more weight to their forum posts and replies.

This tends to help the site, because it allows those users who have more perceived clout to field the newbie questions and guide other users in anything that’s already well established on the site. When users can take care of that, it means the admin have more time to handle the complex questions.

@sunil We are still not sure what will happen to us when we have a vote down, I guess none of us got that, and I wouldn’t want to try it out to anyone or even myself too. 😀

@morgoodie Thanks for the compliment. I always like to participate in forums, whether or not getting paid, but of course, now that there are paid forums, I’d like to stay here more often. 😀
Yes, I agree that the wordings are too small and not so clear, Moreover, the vote up and down are too near to each other, I always try not to click on the wrong button. I wonder if we have voted down, if we vote up again, what it will happen.

Just keep exploring, I think it’s fun!

@ruby3881 Yes, I think support or admin also mentioned the points and ranking will help to unlock some abilities to us in the forum, such as editing feature for blog post, I suppose.

@kaka135 Yes, I remember that mention of unlocking more functions. It would be great to be able to edit posts, as well as to submit posts and save/edit drafts through the WordPress dashboard 🙂

@Lee Ka  I am sure it would be the same it was in Bubblews. When someone was in a hurry they would click a button up or down right or wrong and it would show up in the notification and then it was either the correction or a “war of vote” 🙂

@Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) I had noticed the voting button but really didn’t understand the purpose. Thanks for bringing up this topic and creating an awareness in the community.
