@bestwriter  They didn’t pay us because we showed our concern but they paid because they intended to pay but were just too careless about paying on time. No site is going to pay if the members raise their concerns. They will pay only if they are honest and sincere.

Raising our voice for timely payments was mainly because the site is still new and such unnecessary delay is not good for its reputation. Only if they would have paid on time or even simply made an update that the payments will be delayed would have saved all this unnecessary stress and concern of the members.

@ Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881)  The writers have been scammed by so many sites that it’s but natural to be concerned. After all, we put in so much hard work and efforts everyday and so we have a right to know what’s going on with the site. I hope the @admin takes note of this and is transparent about everything that is happening here. It’s a good site and I would like it to flourish and make a name for itself.

@shaloo walia. The owner of the site himself was on writing sites before and he is fully aware of what happens when site owners delay payment for extended periods of time. Having said that site owners face situations that force them to delay payment and two days in my opinion is not a big delay.

@bestwriter I do understand your interest in seeing whether the site will pay on time without being prompted. I just think the next pay cycle will be influenced both by this post and by the earlier goading. If in 2-3 months there has been no need for goading and payments are always prompt, I think we’ll be able to say the site is beginning to have a clean track record.

@ruby3881  My contention is that no site needs to be goaded beyond what they have already planned to do when it comes to payment. There could be some not so important issues where they may have lapsed and a reminder could set that right but as far as payment is considered I still feel they will stick to what they will do no matter how many times we write to them.

If I am allowed to express my humble point of view I would like to add that no amount of appealing will make a site pay if they they have no intention to pay and appealing has no meaning if the site is willing to pay so I don’t see any point in appealing or no appealing.

By the way, sharing your articles has stopped bringing referral points from this morning which seems to be a matter of concern for me.

@suny  Despite explaining to you that this appeal is not for the site you insist that I said so. I have not said that we should appeal to the site. Please read my post again.  I do not know why you keep saying this. This is very upsetting.

July 15, 2016 at 4:44 pm

@bestwriter I never said you said so but I am only trying to say that appeals make no difference so there is no sense of making appeals. I understand what you said and have been dittoing you in my own way.

July 15, 2016 at 5:36 pm

@ suny  I am getting the points for sharing the articles just as we used to get. I just shared two of my posts and immediately I could see the points being added to my history for the referred visitors.

And I agree with you that the site will pay if the admin is honest & sincere about making the payments. If his intention is to scam the members then no amount of appeals or messages is going to have any effect.

@shaloo walia That is precisely what I have been saying all along.

I think it’s important for us to separate intentions from results. Regardless of the best intentions of a site owner – many of whom are so-called “Bubblews refugees” and know well how much money writers have lost when that site ran out of funds to pay its users as promised – it is still quite possible for an honest site to fail.

Of course, no dishonest site owner can be goaded into paying up. We’ve seen that on a few writing sites too! So no, reminders are not going to make the money appear when it’s overdue. But often it is seeing the reaction of the site owners and staff to those reminders and requests for information that will help users see those individuals’ true colours. It’s a bit of a litmus test, to see whether they are truly apologetic when something goes wrong, or whether they are just stringing users along to make more profits. I think many of us noticed that as the situation got worse and worse at Bubblews, the staff got progressively

It’s a bit of a litmus test, to see whether they are truly apologetic when something goes wrong, or whether they are just stringing users along to make more profits. I think many of us noticed that as the situation got worse and worse at Bubblews, the staff got progressively more nasty. Sending just one request for info on a payment that was 30 days late would result in accusations of spamming the site. Warning bells like that could help prevent writers from being scammed in future, and that is why it’s valuable to sometimes point out the shortcomings of a site.

The other part of that is, we are helping the staff to understand our needs and to gauge the morale of the users here. If we remain silent until we are so angry we want to leave the site, we are not helping anyone. It’s far better to point out the flaws and give the staff fair warning when an issue is heating up than to remain silent until an issue reaches crisis point.

I understand what you are getting at, @bestwriter. And I do very much agree that a site will pay or not pay, regardless of user complaints or prompts. Nobody here is arguing that. But often there are other reasons to speak up. And they can be even more important than simply getting that one payment on time.

First, pardon to everyone’s reaction since we already learned from the mistakes of the other site, having delay payments and any delay payments means only one thing, there is a problem inside the site. It is the owner’s digression if they will not tell the members the real problem is, so it is given that members will come to assume the reason.

Second, any delay in payment is a discouragement. If you ask me, I will get nervous. Another thing, if the owner/support/admin of the site is not replying to queries, it will make the member nervous, annoyed and later on feel discourage that pushed them to review the site to warn every body.

Third, is it easy to judge the site by its performance, but I hope the owner of the site will able to understand the members too. Some members join the site, study the FAQ, terms and rules, become a rule abiding members and the they experience not payment or delay on payment, do you think it is fair for them to feel bad? On the other side, if one member able to get a payment the first time or a lot of times on the site, they will choose to wait as they already proven the site is paying, but still a site should be responding to queries. What will be the use of Contact page if they are not to be contacted anyway, or replying to the messages perhaps?

Members of different sites have different attitudes. Some do not have patience, some are have patience, some worry quickly, some are very understanding. It will takes them some time to be loyal in the site unless the site has been proven good for them. Believe me, there are members who are only kind to a site if the site is kind to them, and some are selfish. There are members who are very willing to do their share, but again members are different.

Me, I can wait for payment, I might contact them first if there is a delay of days or two but I will deny I feel bad. I will hold my horses until I get response for them, I will not make an appeal but I can’t wait that long. Everything is hard earned money so I guess respect for each other and be fair.

@Grecy Garcia  I do not consider two or three days as delay  at all. Even if  we did not complain they would pay when the time is right for them.

July 18, 2016 at 9:52 am

yes it is best to wait for a few days before we start complaining.

At the moment LB admin had already explained of the delay payments but they did paid us
