Great match Ended up as Tie

Moving on to India’s 2nd game in ICC cricket world cup 2011, India was up against a very Strong England team. This match was played on M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, India on 27th Feb, 2011.

India won the toss and opts to bat first, So England will bowl first.

India started very well but soon the wicket of Virender Sehwag on 46 runs in 7^th over. But then Both gautam Gambhir and Sachin tendulkar batted very well and put India on way of great target. Sachin made 120 runs in 115 balls with 10 4’s and 5 sixes at the strike rate of 104 and G Gambhir made 51 runs in 61 balls and Yuvraj Singh also made 58 runs in 50 balls. India made the total of 338 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of all wickets.

England need 339 runs to win this match.

England started their innings very well and quickly with Captain Andrew Strauss and Ian bell playing so well. Andrew Strauss made 158 runs in 145 balls with 18 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 109 runs in 100 balls and kept England in the hunt for victory but with the God’s grace this match was finished as tie as England also make 338 runs in 50 over’s. So this means both team will share equal points and Andrew Strauss the English Captain was adjudged Man of the match for his great knock. He batted with great supremacy and was really the Man of the Match.
