First off, this review is based on observation and other people’s feedback since I didn’t use the product personally. But in any case, I’d like to share what their experience with the product is in case you are looking for something similar!
My husband dyes his hair to get rid of a few strands of gray hair. We used to buy Garnier or Loreal but I found a box of dark brown hair dye a bit too expensive (about €8 from Tesco’s). He doesn’t grow his hair too long but the packaging of the hair dye is impossible for him to use just enough product to cover his gray hair strands. That means that a box of hair dye product will be for single use and the rest of it thrown – such a waste! I initially suggested for him to mix just enough to cover his gray hair but there is also no easy way to store the remaining products. As usual, I tried to find a cheaper alternative and that lead me to buy a hair dye from Jolse called Aritaum Wonder Color – Choco Brown. I bought this together with a Jolse haul for my personal skincare stash a few months back and it was about $7 – slightly cheaper than Garnier or Loreal because of the forex conversion rate.
Inside the box were 6 sachets of products: 2 packets of conditioner and 2 packets each of the hair dye mix. The instructions were in Korean but lucky for me, Jolse publish the instructions in English as well. So I only needed to give the Jolse link to my husband to have a read!
It was so easy to use. All that should be done is to mix the sachets labeled number 1 and 2 in a container, apply to your hair, and rinse after 20 minutes. After rinsing, you can use the hair conditioner as a treatment to make up for the “damage” caused by coloring it.
Now, my husband applied the dye at 10 pm. He decided that since it takes some time to wait for the product to take effect, he might as well take a nap. Bad decision. Instead of soaking the product for only 20 minutes, it ended up to 40 minutes for him! Well, I highly doubt it was only 40 minutes but that’s his story anyway. It didn’t burn his scalp but we noticed that instead of a dark brown colour, his hair looked a bit reddish-brown, LOL! I was teasing him he looked like Kpop star, HAHA!
Now, a friend came over to visit and he also used the hair dye. He followed the instruction to the T and that gave him a dark brown coverage.
I didn’t use the product but personally found it effective, not to mention cost-effective. One box has enough products in it so my husband can color his hair twice. I think it was a good choice to pack it in sachets with just enough products to use for short hair.

It is important we stick to the timing recommended. I too use a dye that suits me. I do not like the pitch black colour that does not go with my age. I am a senior and there is a colour that matches my original hair colour perfectly.
Yeah, my husband used to be able to follow the timing right but I guess he was just so tired that evening. The other problem was he decided to lie down and he is the type of person who can drift off to sleep easily so that was not a smart move anyway, LOL! He also doesn't like the black hair dye since it looks so unnatural when applied so we usually go for dark brown hair dyes for him.
