Giving a presentation is difficult but it is also one of the most effective way to improve your English also to increase your confidence as a professional speaking an English.I divided my presentation in two parts 1st part i will tell you the things you should do and second par is that things you should not do.
1st thing you must remember when you are speaking an English and giving presentation is to use simple language.Many people think that their English is not good enough so they are trying to use very complected words,however you are not comfortable with those words ,simple clear communication is powerful.Try to remember that point.
2nd speak slowly because may be there is difference in your accent and the others who are listening to you so it will be very hard for them to understand you. so you need to speak much more slowly it will make easier for other people to understand exactly what you are saying.
3rd thing is to make sure that your visual should be very clear,make sure that a professional should check your visual for any error like spelling,or any other correction.
4th point is to make sure that you use more verbs rather than nouns.When you use lots of Nouns it makes anything much heavier and difficult to understand,Let me give you little example here.
For example id i say The delivery of the package took place on Sunday afternoon ,,thats ‘OK its not impossible to understand but lets compare to this: The post office deliver the package on Sunday afternoon.its much easier because i use verbs rather than nouns.
5th Work with trainer,try to work professional English trainer who can help you to improve your Presentation skills.who can give you feedback how to improve and he will guide you how to overcome your strength and weaknesses.
6th point is to make sure to write important numbers.You need to write them down so people can see them clearly and also because some parts of the world numbers are said or describe in different ways.
For example: This number is 100,000 but in india or Pakistan we call this One Lakh.So one lakh is different from saying 100,000 so if you are not familiar with 1 lakh when you see 100,000 it will be easier for you to understand.
So these are the example that you should do when you give presentation.
No lets do something that you should not do.
1st Don’t use abbreviation like short name of an Organization or anything else.you must use the entire name after you can use abbreviation once you explained it.
2nd make sure you avoid slang even though you might here native English speaker using slang in their presentation.Its better you should not use that.Because when we see non English speaker using slang in their accent that don’t look good because they cant say how the native speaker does.
So these are some useful tips i hope it will help you when you will present yourself,be positive when you are giving presentation and don’t be nervous. It will be hard 1st time but when you keep on doing this it will become much easier for you. Practice well before you go for a presentation.The best way to practice is stand in from of the mirror and speak in from of yourself this will build up your confidence and also you will b able to know ho w you looks like when you present yourself.
1.Start with saying Good morning ,afternoon,Evening.
2.Self Introduction: I am ,my name is,XYZ
3.Topic of your presentation.
4.How many topics you can say(I divided my presentation into 4 different parts)

The entire English rests on two things, Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Phonetics deals with pronunciation if know phonetics experience you may produce the same sound or accent like a native speaker, but unluckily you do not know phonetics you cannot produce the accent like a native speaker.
