http://172.104.9.193/giving-death-blow-dengue/
that talks of a cure for dengue – a dreadful disease spread by mosquito bites
The cure in question is Giloy (Amrut Balli) Botanically known as Tinospora Cordifolia
Herbs are an integral part of a system that takes care of our health but sadly little or no importance is given to their wonders. There are no doubt a few findings but lots more is yet to be done to brings these herbs in the mainstream of things.
I went further and searched for other uses of Giloy -a plant or rather a creeper.
I was pleasantly surprised that it is growing vigorously all over the place in my garden. Once it enters a garden – on its own- it has no intention of leaving it in a hurry. Not knowing what this creeper was that clung to every tree it could find, I used to just pull it out and throw it away thinking it was a weed until now. I have now decided to nurture it and use it as, besides curing dengue it has several other uses.
The Net is loaded with pages that talks about Giloy – the wonder creeper. Sad that its uses are not known to many as is the case with many other herbs that languish in jungles and in gardens where they are treated as weeds and just pulled out. I found out that
– the leaves and stems of amrut Balli (Giloy) help remove toxins in the body.
– It has the ability to treat fever, urinary disorders and many chronic illnesses
-It strengthens the immunity system
-It helps cure diabetes.
The recommendations are that a leaf chewed on a daily basis will take care of one’s health in its totality
There are claims that it also helps in weight management.
The spread of Dengue can be arrested if only many resort to consuming the leaves or concoction made from the leaves and stems of this creeper as a preventive measure too.
What is difficult is to convince those afflicted – as is the case with several other herbs that are neglected – how effective this creeper is.
There are many links that talk about this creeper. Here is one

Yes many great benefits of using this plant, but still many people might be unaware as to how to use it.
Thanks for sharing the health benefits of Giloy! I didn't know it could cure dengue.
I also did not know till I read that blog and to think that this creeper is all over the place in my garden!!
I haven't seen this kind of creeper in my city. But I think we need to have this. Since the city is experiencing massive incidence of dengue lately. I hope that this will be beneficial for the victims of dengue.
I never knew I had this plant until I read that blog. There is plenty all over the garden.
