The first reaction of anyone is to chase away cats that do not belong to them.
But sadly these cats that visit us have it in their culture to pick certain houses and spend time there if they are not chased away. And that is exactly how they should be treated. They have a few houses they visit where they expect some feed. They do not disturb anyone but on the contrary have endearing ways.
We do not chase away cats but feed just one at a time. When we leave the others without feeding them they leave the place without creating any problems and never return.
I have had some who have stayed permanently with us obviously they have liked the kind of treatment they get with us compared to their owners.
There have been issues with the owners on this score but there was little that one could do to get them to go back to their owners.
These feral cats do not expect much. Just a bit of kindness and some food.
They also try to get friendly with the cats around the house and sometimes even befriend dogs too as it has happened in our household. Preiti our pet is fond of these feral cats and after some adjustment they become the best of friends.
They behave just the way that a home bred cat behaves once they get used to the house that they have adopted. They are even seen being cozy occupying sharing the bed, sitting on laps and even wanting to be cuddled.
We name those feral cats that visit us and one in particular Lolly lived with us for 3 years but left without notice which again is what feral cats are known to do. He did come back but our pet did not accept him.
It is not easy to see a feral cat die specially if one is attached to it. I have had that experience.

You have a nice cat. It is nice to witness their mischievous acts. I have mine and she is best of friends with my three dogs. I call her mousy Rose.
They do get along when they are given time to adjust to each other. Our dogs always got on well the cats around.
