You really do not need flowers to have an arrangement to add freshness to your ambiance. I do it all the time.
I have several coloured leaves and even green creepers that have exotic looking leaves. Even when there are no flowers blooming in our garden these colourful leaves brighten up the garden
Rather than having plastic flowers when there are no fresh flowers available, one can, with a bit of imagination create great arrangements that will add class and freshness..
The Japanese flower arrangements known as Ikebana have several ideas that do not include flowers at all. They even have pebbles to throw up the beauty of an arrangement where they would have added some leaves and a couple of twigs. The emphasis is given to the shape of the arrangements. Each shape as a name and a meaning too.
The image that is uploaded here is an arrangement I created from material that I got from my garden. The yellow croton is the main subject that almost looks like a flower. This arrangement lasted for several days.
Driftwood is yet another item that can enhance the beauty of an arrangement. The natural curves in a driftwood helps the creator to add class to their arrangements. One can collect driftwood on beaches. Driftwood is called such as it literally drifts from the sea and stays on the shore. It gets well seasoned and lasta for years. To ward off termites however it is given a coat of colourless varnish.
One needs to have an eye for art to be able to spot driftwood lying silently on beaches.
In this fast world however very few would spend time creating their own arrangements. Just like fast food they would also go to shops and pick what they find interesting.

That's a quite nice way to decorate our surroundings. having a plant at home refreshes the air.
And yes, plants with or without flower are beautiful. Good arrangement of it makes them look presentable.

This seems to be a special art and needs loads of creativity. It does look different and unique when seen. Art is making something out things which are thought of as waste or which people think it is no use of. As they have not come across such a thing in their lives. Such concepts however are not easily accepted by the conventional people. As people are averse to something new. But if they keep seeing such a thing again and again they will get used to it. As it costs nothing to make this art. It is a interesting article which has introduced a new concept which people can read understand and appreciate. Maybe they can also experiment with the same.
