Friends the trend of an aquarium in living rooms or lobby is fast catching up in our country. Some of us are even going for one in their offices as well and with beautiful and colorful fishes, those are not only fresh water fishes but exotic fishes from sea as well.
The trend is catching at such a fast speed that aquarium makers are on the lookout for new varieties of fishes from all over the world and even making surveys among the fish lovers who come to them looking for new varieties.
And this trend has been supplemented by the Feng Shui point of view that is the new in thing for lovers of nature, yes due to rising belief in Feng Shui aquariums are becoming house hold things and manufacturing of aquarium is fast turning in to another fast growing industry.
As people are adopting to this new companion called fish which has really become the obsession for some of the people who are going for aquariums of different sizes and shapes depending upon the place available to keep them and the cost of the fishes which come in a vast variety like Heart-Parrot, flower horns, Spotted Hills trout, Malini Barbs and many more varieties are landing in to these beautifully designed aquariums.
Now the marine fishes replacing fresh water fishes, more colors are being added to aquariums and that is not the only plus point but sea fish doesn’t require frequent water changes but a little more expert care is needed.
The Fish is as good a pet as dogs, cats or parrots are. People love to have fishes in their sitting rooms and living rooms. I hope you will try having a fish aquarium in your home in a place of your own choice. Really the Fish aquarium is in big demand in India these days.

Soon all hoses will have fish aquarium.But those who do not believe in Feng Shui do not care. We do not have aquarium at home. I have two kids nephews at home, and you know kids do not stop their desire if not see their desire attained like getting the fished lol.
Even I do not have faith in Feng Shui and do not have an aquarium but the aquariums are becoming popular for show purpose. For me, it is too tough maintaining fish.
That is true, it is not easy to raise an aquarium, it needs much attention.That is another reason why I do not install aquarium at home.
@suny - It's only now that we have done away with having an aquarium in our house as it requires a lot of maintenance. We derived a lot of joy keeping this. I even introduced it in the guest house of our company
All I know, if a fish dies under our care, it brings bad luck. It is also related to Feng Shui principles. Some Chinese people believed that it is good for business, if you have one.
Aquariums are so amazing. The fresh blue water with all sorts of fish inside the aquarium is so gorgeous to look at. I enjoy the middle sized and large ones. Some people not only keep fish in the aquarium but they also place shark in the tank. The exotic fish are a great choice. Just to sit by the aquarium and reflect. What a blessing. Have a blessed day!
I used to have an aquarium in my house. It required a lot of upkeep and my son who was young at the time, used to get very upset whenever any fish died. Finally we decided to get rid of the aquarium.
Fish Aquarians are probably in such high demand due to Finding Dory coming out! Sounds silly, but in all honestly kids are going to be wanting some fish after seeing that movie! Personally I don't care to own a fish, I feel like they die to easily.. I'm more of a dog person!

My father kept an aquarium for us when we were little, and I used to love looking at the fish. We had some very pretty fancy goldfish for a while, which almost gave me the taste for having tropical fish again. But it was too much effort, and we had too many fish die. I think if I were to do something similar again, I'd try to raise koi outside in a pond.
