Family Reunions Make Strong Bond and Reconciliation Of Affairs

A family reunion is a gathering of families that belong to the same clan that is composed of parents, children, grand children, and great- grandchildren. The reasons for those whose reunion is active are unity, solidarity and love. This kind of affair is done only once a year, or depending on what has been agreed by the relatives. There is a family reunion that is intended only by one family’s lineage; others, multiple members that include from first to third generations of relatives. Usually, they chose to have once a year reunion only with family members, or grand clan family reunion to unite all the relatives. Another reason to have this kind of assembly of relatives is to get acquainted with each other to avoid inter-marriages of cousins. There are so many relatives late to know they are second or third degree cousins. Even if they are in third degree but the blood that circulates in their body is mixed with higher percentage of elated blood to prove that they are relatives. It could also be traced through DNA tests.

During the day of the reunion, presentation of the families with their total siblings is done one at a time. Each one talks as an introduction to themselves. The parents are going to present their children one by one together with their husband and wife and children and grand children on stage with a microphone to alert all the participants of the reunion, until everyone does the same with the first. After the introduction of the family members, they exchange laughter and joys. Foods are prepared or brought family by family. They could also decide to have food sharing for fun and bonding.

There is strong family bond when a reunion is practice. Each one gets the chance to know each other, and teamwork and solidarity is also seen during time of need like sorrowful moments, weddings, fiestas and others and those are also part of families ‘ custom, culture and tradition. There are also programs prepared by the program host and each family is required to present on stage that make all relatives happy and excited. Yes, there is excitement and solidarity is built during a grand reunion. When everyone departs from the program, they surely say to themselves that they can never forget the happy time with clan members. It is also in a grand reunion when all relatives that do not have a better relationship with other relatives could have the chance to reconcile themselves.

They may also refer to you some businesses you may want to join. That is the only chance to see the faces of your relatives and know their names and education. Yes, in a reunion, the parents are also so proud to include introducing the achievements of their children making others feel insecure if their children do not acquire good education for some circumstantial and unavoidable reasons like poverty and ill health of the parents that hamper them to send their children to good education. Such introduction paves way to help the relatives in a clan to support the education of the children’s education to those relatives whose income is at par excellence fruitful and successful. That is one advantage of knowing each other through a family or grand reunion of a clan. It is worthwhile and valuable reunion.
