FAIRY TALES ARE FOR ALL AGES

Fairy tales, who doesn’t love it? Maybe you think that you are old enough for it. However, “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes” still one of the best fairy tales that readers of all ages favorite.

WHAT MAKES THE CHARACTERS OF FAIRY TALES UNIQUE?

Among others, fairy tale characters are unearthly, paranormal, or mystical. They are supernatural. Fairies are one of the characters that we could see. They usually transform into a human being, but they can also in their original form, fairy. Have you watched or read about Cinderella? Her fairy godmother has powers and is kindhearted, which is their usual role.

Other unusual beings like goblins, elves, brownies, gremlins, and pixies are some of the characters we may saw in Fairy Tales in place of fairies. Talking animals and witches may be featured in a story like “Little Red Riding Hood.”

“The Emperor’s New Clothes” doesn’t have such characters as given, but it has the characteristics of the old-style fairy tales.

In the ancient times, fairy tales is already known worldwide. Most fairy tales is made-up way back many more years ago. It was then passed from generation to generation by storytellers. However, as time passes by, people change the stories; they added some events and remove some details out. However, not all fairy tales are made in the early times; there are some like the “The Ugly Ducklings” by Hans Christian Andersen that is written in the 1800s.

Most people think that fairy tales are for children only. But, did you know that they are first made-up for adults? During the ancient times, the fairy tales are made for entertainment. They only become known as good for children because of the moral that one can get from it.

HOW CAN WE SAY THAT A STORY IS A FAIRY TALE?

If you read or watched a story that is taken in an unusual place and far-off time, those are fairy tales. “Once upon a time” is a phrase that is mostly the beginning of the story. There are lots of happenings where we see the magic. Beautiful ladies or princes that are being maltreated, a prince which is usually the hero, bad queens or kings, and witches are the common characters.

Fairy tales ended up into a happy conclusion. Bad or evil creatures are being punished on the other hand; good ones are blessed and rewarded.

My favorite Fairy tales are “Aladdin and The Wonderful Lamp”, “The Magic Carpet”, and “Maleficent.” At my age, many might laugh at me watching fairy tale stories. But I never care because aside from I am entertained, I can take a lesson from it.
