England Beaten India in 2nd ODI in 2007

India was scheduled to play a 7 match One Day International series in England in 2007. The first match of the series was played on County Ground, Bristol, England on 24th Aug, 2007.

In the 2nd one Day International match India won the toss and opts to bat first and this means England will bowl first.

India played very well and was able to set total of 329 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 7 wickets with the contributions of Sachin T who made 99 runs in 112 balls with 15 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 89 runs in 100 balls, Skipper Rahul D who made 92 runs in 63 balls with 11 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 146 runs in 100 balls and Y Singh who made 49 runs in 53 balls with 6 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 92 runs in 100 balls.

England Started poorly and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the game but they were still in the game but they lost their way in the later over’s and were only able to make 320 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with the major contribution of Ian bell again who made 64 runs in 96 balls with 6 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 66 runs in 100 balls.

India won the game by 9 runs and Rahul D the Indian Skipper was the man of the Match.
