England beat Sri Lanka in 1st ODI match of series,2011

Sri Lanka was scheduled to play a 5 Match ONE DAY International Series in England in 2011. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who will be crowned as the winner after the series. Sri Lanka batted poorly and was unable to chase the score of 229 runs and was only able to make 121 runs in 27 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 110 runs by D and L method and top scores by opener L Malinga who made 26 runs in 15 balls with 4 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 173 runs in 100 balls.

England won the match by 110 runs by D and L and now this 5 Match ONE DAY international series stands at 1-0 in favor of England with 4 more games to play.
