My Emergency Room Experience

I’m currently working on my complaint against the hospital where I was inpatient recently for psychiatric care where I was treated so badly in the emergency room. I’m a bit scared about it but I know I need to stand up for myself and for others because I don’t want the same thing happening to other people either. There are going to be people going to that ER who are more vulnerable than I was that night and who don’t know their rights and who are going to get taken advantage of by the staff like I did and not know it was wrong.

I still can’t believe I was screamed at by an ER nurse whom I was asking simple questions of. I had already said I was willing to follow policy, I just wanted to know WHY something was policy. Imagine my shock when later on – I found out other women who were admitted to the psychiatric unit hadn’t been made to follow that policy. Was I singled out for some reason? And why only during this hospital visit did they decide I had to remove part of my undergarments? I never had to follow this ‘policy’ before. It was pretty embarrassing to be moved across the hospital campus wearing nothing but paper scrubs and underpants with no bra when I’m pretty big chested. At least the transporting nurse allowed me to steal a sheet to wrap around myself. The fact that I nearly passed out from overheating was none of their concern.

And the 7 security guards called on me for no reason was a bit of overkill. I’ve since found out that two security guards for every nurse present is the standard. Two nurses happened to be in the room with me, so 4 was the maximum that should have been called (not that the charge nurse should have summoned any). The only thing keeping me from following their policy at that point, despite my disagreement with it, was that the doctor walked in and I had to speak to him before I could change.

    • Yes, your emergency room, experience is very bad like other women because the whole people are mentally and spiritually corrupt and all are greedy working for a special purpose in hospital keeping not in mind work but greed and dishonesty. It is the condition all over the world. What the government is doing in all countries the doctors are working well.

I desribe here a wonderful labor room experienc...
I was 11 days late and ended up being induced. I was buzzing for the midwife for 30 minutes because i was in agony and no-one came to me. I had to walk to the reception on the ward to get someone to come to me. Once they examined me, i was 6cm dilated so they were going to take me down to the delivery room. I rang my mum to bring my husband up.

I had been buzzing since 2.30am and the midwife saw me at 3.10am and said the buzzer wasnt plugged into the wall. I was down in the delivery room at 3.25am and my baby girl arrived at 3.31am. The pain was excruciating !! Way worse than my 1st. Everything happened so fast, i didn't have time to have any pain relief and my husband and mum missed it so i was all alone. I was very scared and lonely because i was on my own and it was hurting so much. And after all that, i ended up with having a 3rd degree tear and loosing a litre of blood. So i had to go into theatre when my little girl was a hour old.

It is something i don't ever want to go through again. It was so painful and scary and i'm petrified i'll tear again if i have another baby.

I'm just glad my baby girl is healthy :)
