Effects of Arrogance in Marriage

Many husbands and wives have lost elections, promotions, properties and other achievements due to negative pride. Many wives have also sent their husbands to untimely graves due to their arrogance not to her husband but to others outside the marriage. Arrogance exposes couples to internal and external danger. The autocratic Bishop’s wife was told that her husband will be the chairman of the meeting. She asked the husband what he will achieve by being in the meeting. The Bishop told her that he will go to teach the members of the board how to handle church accounts. The wife of the Bishop felt that her husband will go to share his knowledge with other people. In her arrogance, she watched her husband enter the bathroom in the morning and she locked her husband inside the bathroom and drove off to market around 7:00am.When the Bishop finished bathing he could not come out of the bathroom. All efforts to locate the duplicate of the bathroom key proved abortive. When the wife of the Bishop came home around 10am,she went straight to the bathroom to unlock the Bishop. Then the time for the Bishop to travel to Ibadan has become late. At that meeting, the Head of the church had given his chaplain to communicate to the Bishop of his promotion as an Archbishop of his a new area immediately he arrives the venue of the meeting. When the Bishop was not seen, his chaplain phoned the Head of the church that the Bishop due for the promotion did not come to the meeting. The head of the Church ordered for an election. On the Bishop’s absence, an election was held and another Bishop was elected as an Archbishop instead of the Bishop”. When the Bishop heard of the election of another Bishop in his stead, he had a longtime quarrel with his wife. Nevertheless; the Bishop has lost out because of his wife’s arrogance. There is no time arrogance plays a good role in marital relationship.
