You can’t doubt from yourself that you procrastinate. Basically, Everyone does Procrastination. Often time it is undeniable that you choose to procrastinate than do the things you need to do. Sometimes the waiting game is too strong for us to be up and ready in doing our assigned task until just before a deadline. And most of the time procrastination is becoming the youth’s habitual practice—as a way to escape not so easy task until we feel more energized, prepared, and ready enough for us to be able to do our work. You have a deadline to a certain duty. yet, instead of doing your it, you prefer to sit back and relax, you even checked your mails, surf through the net and took a selfie while lying down in the couch. How lazy! Really fond doing not so Important things like checking email, social media, watching videos, surfing blogs and forums. You know in yourself that you should be doing your work, but you just feel like not doing anything that will tire yourself..
We all know and are familiar with the phenomenon called. When we procrastinate, we spend away our free time and ignore important tasks we should be doing till it’s too late. And when we have no time to do it, we panic and we tend to do our stuffs in a fast manner which will make our work not so nice. The main factors for procrastinating are Delaying, slacking, hiding from work, facing work only when it’s unavoidable, then repeating this loop all over again. It’s a depraved habit that eats us away and prevents us from attaining better outcomes in life.
But sooner or later, habitual procrastinating will begin to affect job performance. It will also affect our mood and decision making by developing anxiety, dread, or added stress. Probably people in a leadership position, procrastinating may influence our peers and employees to feel that we’re holding up progress when they procrastinators too.
If procrastinating has become your Problem then learn how to avoid it! Here below are some ways on how to avoid the habitual procrastination.
Write down the important tasks that you should be doing. Having this list brings importance of project for you to put it in your mind so you can’t easily ignore it. Have a journal or a long pad paper where you can write down the list of the task you need to do from the most to the least important matter.
make sure to always have a good talk with your employees regarding you weekly schedule so that people won’t be looking for you around just to have stuffs done. This will avoid you to build up tons of works to do. This will also lessen the things you have in mind since you are already organized.
3) Have a good companion
Have a peer who’s willing to help you whether you are in trouble or what not. Having someone who is ready to help is good way to lessen your laziness . your friend should be a good listener as well she should be good in giving advices so that he or she can encourage you to do your thing! Your friend should also be a good planner while you should be a good follower. It is better if you both follow and listen to each other so that both of you will be inspired to work. Never have something to argue with, so that your work will be done easily and it will be achieved with greatness.
4) Stop complaining
– learn to think right after receiving the task given to you instead of ranting. Start making strategies on how you will be able to do it. Have your checklist up and plans. Make your brain work not your mouth! Lol. You can think better if you are not talking. Remember that nothing wll be resolved and nothing will happen if you keep on ranting about your work. And even if the task given is hard or not remember to have believe in yourself. Build confidence but not too much.
5) Ask
Ask people who have been into the situation you are in. keep in mind that asking is never a bad idea to do specially when you have no clue on what you’ll be doing. Ask people who already have achievement and success to the same task you have, get some ideas and learn tips from them. This will you to improve the work you will be doing and also to avoid troubles in doing it.
6) Create your own deadlines
– you know that the deadline of your project is in a certain date but instead of doing your task in the last minute choose to do it earlier have your own target of time. Learn to make things in advance. Never stick with the quote “it’s better late than never”. Being late is never a good habit. Stick with quote rather “it is indeed better to pass earlier than pass late” remember that you might have incentives when you do your tasks and finish it earlier.
There are more ways to stop laziness Just keep in mind that procrastinating is a bad habit and it just hinders us to be productive persons. You can more ways in order for you to avoid this bad habit.
