Ebook Formating Work No Longer Pays

Last year I made some good money from formatting the eBooks. But now it is kind of getting harder to format the eBooks manually. So many online options are coming up. Most of these sites are allowing you to design the book from cover to final touch. Also the table of contents can be easily added into the system. So this type of work which earlier used to pay good five dollar or so doesn’t exist anymore. Very few authors are giving their books to others to format. And that means this is not going to be a good option to make money from here onward. You have to try something different over a period of time.

I wished it lasted longer than I anticipated it to be. Because things are not that good. I wonder what else can be done with the eBook these days. I wanted to earn around say 100$ a month. And wanted to maximize that part. But it seems like that is not going to happen. And based on what I am seeing, things are not that strong either. So it’s kind of not easy to build that stuff. I am sure there are people who think that some skills last forever. But some of the times you have to bow out of some skills.

I guess freelancer, upwork and fiverr are for short term skills. And real work and money is outside. Because the more time and money you spend on such resource it may not be easily managed for sure. I think I may have to work extra hard this year and see what happens with my set of efforts. But I am not going to fall back. Instead I am going to focus more on thee skills from here onward. Hopefully this year I get new skill and make some earning for that.
